Metulla did have a decent Beyer increase.....but the horse ran basically the same race/style/type of race before.

I am not saying it isn't impossible that he is doing something fishy....but to say what Scavs implies in my opinion is ludicrous. If Dutrow has created some superdrug and is testing it through Rudy's horses I will be the first to say I was completely wrong, but I think there is a better chance of Freddy giving up drinking than that cockamanie theory being right.

There are only 3 types of trainers left in 2010
1. Trainers with good horses
2. Trainers with horses good enough to cheat with
3. Everybody else

what does that leave from past years?

Another win for Rudy today along with a good second yesterday...he's putting on an absolute clinic in New York.

He is awesome, once a struggling crappy jock, now the king of the chemistry. True horsemanship is blessing we are luck to have him and nice to see quality owners flocking to the new star of the backstretch. Steve should have him on ATR's

The horse who won the 3rd was running against 3 snails. You guys whining about Rodriguez need to give it a rest.

Coming from a guy who employs one of the biggest cheaters in the country Stephanie Beattie. That's rich. She represents everything thats wrong with the game. Komodo sure ran well after the horse left her care. You should hook up with Michael Gill on your next purchase.

Pretty funny quote from DRF about Aegean Breeze's win.

Quote:

The results have truly been astounding. At Aqueduct's spring meet, R-Rod won with 8 of 11 starters, beginning with Aegean Breeze ($44.80), who had finished dead last by a combined 104 lengths in her first three starts of the year, but went wire to wire in her first start for the erstwhile jockey. "I put blinkers on her . . . I guess she really liked that," he explained.

Just curious

When you see trainers like RR or others with high winning percentages coming out of nowhere and the way they move horses up isn't there an incentive for trainers or others in the racing industry to turn these characters in. Essentially, they are taking money away from you. If you observe and have some kind of evidence do you go to some racing official to turn them in?
Or, is this impossible or is it worse to be a rat without clear concrete evidence.
I heard rumors when Pletcher was red hot at Saratoga a few years ago that Whitney placed a guard outside his barn. Probably not true....
I suspect there is no love for these type of trainers.... Probably easier said than done.
