Burgers and Brew in Solana Beach by the train station....Blue Cheeseburger outstanding!!!!

I tried this place for the first time today. I got a double with cheese, mushrooms and jalapeno's and a regular order of fries. It was good eats, but for the same $8.86, I would rather get 2 sandwiches and some waffle fries from Chick-Fil-A any day of the week.

The Varsity, in ATL, was the she-ot when I ate there during the Olympics. Phenominal burger and onion rings, its a shame i let it loose on my family's brick in Centennial Park (the day of the bombing)...

5 guys fries are the truth, but the burgers are grossly overpriced for what you recieve in return.

gimme a fuddrucker's burger any day over 5 guys...but they're OK...

Yeah I've been here 2 months now and am already seeing the light. I order some fries a couple times a week and go to Times Grill or Chik-Fil-A (Golfer, other Jax cats on here know) and my belly and wallet feel better.

They are overpriced but the fries are for real, and I can deal without all the hoopla from the help.

Have you tried the Loop yet? Another local chain, pretty good food, burgers, pizza, etc...

I remember 20 years ago give or take as a kid going to the one just south of downtown, the originial one I believe. Cool guy name I believe is Dan ran it back then, big NASCAR fan, I ran into him at Darlington in the late 90's.

They fill up the whole bag with fries it seems!! The one time I ate there & got a burger & fries.. by the time I was done with the burger I had room for maybe one fry and the rest went to the trash.

Wash it all down with a diet coke...don't you love when you see that :D

not that I can talk. I have 50 pounds to shed. Honestly its not the non alcoholic drinks though.. I can drink water 24/7 and be fine. I find the only way for me to lose weight is to drink little to no alcohol. If I have 2-3 drinks once every two weeks I can do it... going out 2 or 3 times a week and have 5-6 drinks is just stupid of me..

I think its time for me to go on another booze break now that Scav is gone..
