That numbnut that's listed as trainer, Big Ben Suroor, he's actually been based in Europe since Summer, so someone else is doing the hands on training this year.

Facepalm.

Yeah, I admit it's thin, but it's the only thing I can think of. That or meds.

What's your theory Savantore?

Stats for horses who've run here in bin Suroor's name....

* 5 year span from '04 to '08: 29.3% wins ($1.82 ROI)

* 2009: 30.8% wins ($1.75 ROI)

The win percentage has raised very slightly and the ROI has been shaved slightly.

Much ado about nothing.

Well, the Godolphin horses were struggling mightily for the previous 1-2 years, or so.

And that they ran under his name is completely besides the point. Was he the hands on dude running things the last five years, or were there other people training for him while he was away?

Nothings changed.

The only difference is that they've been a fair bit stronger in the Graded Stakes than in the past - and a fair bit weaker in the lesser races than in the recent past.

Being that you don't bet anymore - you probably haven't been paying enough attention to alw races and minor stakes to see it.

Is Bin Suroor related to the prince b/c it seems when horses are sent to him they don't seem to run as good until they're back with the asst. trainers at the different locations. Just my opinion..

That's what I'm saying.
