But, since you are so connected, or at least play that role on the internet, why don't you ask the Steinbrenner's and come on back and tell us. I for one can't wait for more insider knowledge. :zz:

i never said i knew any of the stienbrenners personally , my comments were based on how geroge reacted in the past on certain high priced free agents - there would have been a story / a challenge to TEX already in the daily news by now , any yankee fan knows that and knows the reason why there hasn't been

scuds made a point about the guy being a differnce makers , and that is what he was brought in here to be - so far through 1 month of the season he has been a major disappointment

Well, I am mistaken about their goals. I thought a guy making over 20 mil a year would be expected to be a difference-maker, but he's just another high-priced bat brought in for more fire power. Yanks keep lowering what they want done in return for 20 mil a year.

Well it's better than Fantasy League (with nothing on the line.) There's always this game for those who don't like to bet games of skill:

I just think he thought it's easier to piss away money than to have to build something.

You are kind of a bag-Carrier for the stars, but I can't say that's the worst strategy in life.

They want to buy a WORLD SERIES, and it can't be done. You must have some young a-s-s kickers of your own.

It could be done, you just need to buy the right players.
