You may be right, but they've looked a lot harder at easier calls with less on the line. I just thought he was hit but kept control as his arm went forward. Obviously not a great pass, but forward none the less.

Didn't the defender hit the ball before it left his hand?

I actually thought the one earlier was a fumble too. But overall I thought the zebras did a good job. It was a chippie game with alot of flags, including a holding call in the endzone. You hardly see those in the regular season, let alone the Super Bowl.

Yeah, I think he hit the ball, so what. The qb kept control and managed to move the ball forward while still in hand. Worth a look, I thought.

A gutsy win

Like I said.....

"the Steelers keep you on the "edge of your seat" in all the games they play."

Congrats to Ben and the Steeler Nation for Super Bowl #6! :tro:

in some small defense, they did lose 2 linemen to injury early in the year (m. smith & k. simmons). the one i can't figure is max starks, he's been average at best, awful at times the last 2 years.

If the defender hits the ball it is hard to say he maintained control. It is possible that the rules states that somewhere being that there are a million rules. I thought they would look at it but noone seemed to even protest.

MSNBC has an article saying the Cards aren't very happy it wasn't atleast reviewed.

Like I said, no dog in the fight. Just a couple of huge calls that seem inconsistant from I've seen all year.

Too bad all reviews couldn't be that fast. Of course when you review it after the game is already over .....

How are they even be comparing the Holmes catch to Tyree? Holmes made a great catch but I've seen Marvin Harrison make that catch a dozen times in the past ten year. Tyree's was pure luck and is dropped by any receiver, good or bad, and just by a fluke happened to stay in his hands. Not sure if any catch can ever top Tyree's and certainly not a nice toe tapper on the sideline.

Ben was the MVP hands down. Great game, too bad there had to be a loser. Would have been nice if Arizona won this one and dedicated it to the late Pat Tillman.

I saw the replay of the route Larry Fitzgerald took trying to catch Harrison on the interception. He was 6 yards deep in the endzone when Harrison took off the other way. Fitzgerald looked like a horse in the Derby as he kept getting "checked" by players as he tried to catch Harrison. Incrdible effort just to finally get to him. Worth a look if you can find it.

He was one of the best and I'm sure he'll have a job on TV next season. It didn't surprise me in the least to see him at the table.
