i'm not sure that even if hillary won, you could claim we had a woman president.

Steve Asmussen was the worst. It took 43 horses for someone to finally win their first start post-Stevie A and that was an even money shot.

Surprising when you consider how squeaky clean his repute is.

I heard a stat, I want to say from Brad Free, that horses claimed away from Mullins have won at a 14% clip next out. Over that span (I assume he used a big sample size over a long period of time) Mullins had won at a 25% clip with claimers.

Basically, a marked dip in production from 25-to-14% when claimed away from him.

I think the numbers are worse with Levine, at least i think our mutual friend had some outrageous %'s

The Indomitable DrugS 07-18-2007 02:35 AM

Yeah, Levine is another guy who can really move them up.

Wouldn't be shocked if horses claimed from him showed strong declines in form.

I think its the person beneath the hairpiece that is at issue. Who the cap fits...let them wear it. imo.

Mullins hair is funny no matter what race he is

Oh okay so now we're judging trainers by how they look?

Looks like some Nascar driver to me (not a complement) but at least he doesn't look like a chicken with moobs like Pletcher.

Why all the hatred? He's the only one to have ben caught or is it because of his comments?

At least the man isn't afraid to say what he thinks.

I like Mullins.....

(Help King... i need you here!)

I would think of all people that you would be most outraged by this:

206 horses claimed from Jeff Mullins
62 failed to race more than five times (30%)
10 broke down in their very next start (5%)

Have you seen him when one has broken down?

Do you remember All the boys?

I have very mixed feelings here but that he's always always always singled out really bothers me. I'd like to see the stats on others and sure it makes me sick but you know me... who defends Pval? Who defends Fallon? I hate it when anyone is accused of anything.

It's disturbing BUT the man does not intentionally harm horses. I refuse to believe that.

He's watched and everyone knows that.....

I choose to find what's right with him and everyone.

Maybe I'm a moron. Maybe i shold be bitter and hateful and point the finger. maybe I'll change but not yet.....

King is in the Mike Vick thread trying to defend a man whos executed dogs by wetting them down and shocking them to death, chopping of their heads, or lighting them on fire. Im sure King can make a case for Mullins

cmorioles 07-18-2007 10:46 AM

I know that Wayne Catalano has dreadful numbers with regard to performance of horses claimed from him.

The only reason i know that name (Vick) is because it's in a rap song i hear all the time... no idea who that is.

I can't comment on Kingie or what he thinks, but when it comes to Mullins he's fair anyway.

He's a great guy. (Talking about Kingie here).
