This horse is being talked about as though he is the second-coming of Seattle Slew. He is not even Smarty Jones. I think he will be just another also-ran in the Derby. What has he really done?

He is? I must have missed all of those comparisons.
He is a tough one to judge because he looked pretty impressive at Oaklawn but three lifetime starts isn't exactly a lot to go on.
He probably is not one of my top two at this point, but i can't really blame his backers for liking him.
I haven't seen anyone talking about him "as though he is the second-coming of Seattle Slew" but there are some that think he is the best horse in this crop. I don't think I agree with them, but it isn't exactly an outrageous suggestion at this point.

Gee, he just won by 12 3/4 in his debut, then followed that up with two monstrous and easy graded stakes wins.

It's always hilarious to me when people make these statements without any kind of logic or reasoning to back them up.
