SCORPION (Turf)
second off the layoff, not the usual way the Euros come into this race ADHRHYTHM (Juvenile Fillies) solid race going two-turns at Calder, these two year old types usual do well here BUSHFIRE or LEMONS FOREVER (Distaff) both have run well over the Churchill strip, front runner / closer. |
George Washington. He is 20-1ML but probably 12-1 at post. Bernardini will probably beat him, but I will take my chance at a price.

SATULAGI, currently 50/1 with several firms over here for the BCJF.
She has repeatedly shaped as if better than able to show, looking as if stamina is her strength. She pretty much proved as much when fourth in the Fillies' Mile at Ascot last time, where she shaped as if further still will suit. She is really likeable, always tries hard and is by Officer out of a Danzig Connection mare. She may well not be good enough, but I expect her to run with great credit. |
For major bombs, I've taken Premium Tap at 50-1 and Super Frolic at 80-1.
Super Frolic finished within 2.75 lengths of St. Liam last year after "stumbling badly" at the start. His last 3 races this year have been decent, though the last one (Goodwood) was the least impressive. He doesn't have much chance to win the Classic, but he's got better than a 1/81 chance, IMO. He's also nominated to the Mile, but with 26K in lifetime earnings on grass, and his last turf race a 15-length loss in August of '04, I don't think there's much chance they are really going to run him in the Mile. --Dunbar |
in the sprint, siren lure and too much bling are both live at a decent price....
siren lure, a former claimer and turf sprinter will get some of my $$. |
I don't think George Washington qualifies as a bomb. If so, I'll take Lava Man as my bomb.

if the track is fast, the inside is good and from an inside post, Nightmare Affair is interesting at 40-1. Not much to separate him and Pomeroy and if it's the traditional front-end sizzlefest he's got some chance.

Lava Man is likely the second choice. |
Where are you getting 20-1? I haven't seen George Washington any higher than 12-1 anywhere.
|
George Washington is as low as 7.5-1 on some sites, as a matter of fact.

Just in case you didn't know what the debt is about: 1999 Classic, his words. "If Cat Theif wins this, I'll run butt-naked across the parking lot (Ellis Park)." To this day, he still hasn't paid up darn it. He even had an audience that day with a car catching fire in the parking lot. GEEZ! I even said I'll slim it down to our original office parking lot difference to the street (30 yds guessing). Still hasn't done it. I give up! |
I like Skip Code in the Juvenile. He just won the Grey Lag at Woodbine. I remember Macho Uno coming out of that one. I think he could be a longshot.:D

My bomb will be in the filly juvenile(QUICK LITTLE MISS.) If she handles the shipping, everybody is gunna be wondering who that chestnut filly was that exploded in the stretch.Whoever rides her will probably get her into bad trouble, but I think she is still in the tri,and worst case scenario(the super.)She is the only filly that kept making up ground on Cash Included in the Oakleaf.A fantastic effort(for 3rd) closing on an incredibly speed favoring track that day.Q.L.M.'s win at Fairplex was simply awesome, and anything close to that will give Mel Stute ANOTHER Breeders Cup win. |
