I know, but I don't like anyone in this race and if I was a balla it would be an all, I am just looking for some reason to include someone.

I just haven't seen the horse moving forward at the end of his last couple races..he did only lose his last by 3/4 but i think he's more apt to have a similar race 2 back where he stalks and just fades.... why the #5 Beneath the Crown is only 8-1 ml is beyond me.... wide open finale

-bt-

The race sets up way better for Eldoktori than it does for The Roundhouse. He's no great shakes, but I'd prefer a horse with some tactical speed to a plodder like TR or SoG, especially with the way these jocks let people go on turf.

Nick took mine, but I'd give Straight Romance a look in the same race. To me, the 9th is by far the most wide open leg in the sequence.

Yeah, it is a cluster. I was using the 1 on the jock switch but now see value in a horse like Straight Romance off a bad performance on dirt, back to preferred surface, nice find

I just don’t see the need to add mediocre horses to a ticket … sure they could win, but nobody is jumping off the form for me. The Roadhouse…. I know this horses is headed in the complete wrong direction, but im interested in hearing others opinions on this race. Stream of Gold seems the only other logical horse to me in this race, but this is also a horse hitting bottom at the age of 9 with 27 lifetime starts, on form he comes off as a plodder.

I dont like Nicks, Straight Romance with Gomez deserves a LONG LOOK.

I expect him to be on or near the lead and just let his experience take over at the half mile pole

A single? Are you crazy? THat horse is like one of 5 who can win, and one of my 3 a's.

deltagulf 08-31-2010 05:32 PM

weds card could produce another carry over for thursday.
which would suit me fine can't play tomorrow but thursday i'm off work.

ateamstupid 08-31-2010 05:41 PM

There would have to be 3 or 4 $25+ winners for any chance at another C/O. The whales will be out in full force tomorrow.

NTamm1215 08-31-2010 06:08 PM

The Twinspires' Players' Pool is getting involved and they'll probably play 50k worth of tickets, so it's pretty much going to get hit tomorrow, just a question of how much it'll pay.

No, I'm too much of a control freak to buy into someone else's ticket.

FWIW on Race 7, the rail horse will offer no value because of the connections but the 2nd dam dropped numerous turf winners including NY bred stakes winner Certifiably Crazy, Lentenor slayer On Vacation, and Certifiably Royal.

Also means even more dead money in there.

Scav 08-31-2010 08:09 PM

The TS Players Pool generally sells out, and I think they capped it at 60k. I am going to put a ticket(s) together and see how good I can do with 60k

I think the Matz horse might be a price. It's risky with Lezcano up but if he's close to 10:1, I'll try him. And definitely use him for 2nd in exactas.

I'd definitely use him. Belong to Me is a good win early sire, Matz actually has two debut winners going long on the turf in the last year and both of the dam's prior two foals (Stormy Relations and Relatively Ready) showed signs of life at 2.

NT

ateamstupid 08-31-2010 08:27 PM

He's also brought the horse along nicely it seems, working him in company with five-year-old turf horse Sharif Al Medina on 8/25.

It is no where near that type of comment. Last time she ran I pushed on her as I was sitting with one of the larger players at Arlington and he talked to Dutrow, he loved her that day, and hated his horse in the last, who ended up being a late scratch (and if you go back in the archives you will see I said Dutrow hated the horse)

I don't think we are friends on FB, but unfriending is the new in thing I hear. Just happened to me the other day from someone on here actually. Quite hilarious.

that was the joke..

I have spent the last hour trying to form them and my brain wants to explode. That and from watching Mr Baseball on Versus, forgot how hilarious that movie is

Seriously, try putting together multiple tickets with that type of money, I didn't even know where to start.

The first thought that I was thinking was how to split up the bankroll. I have seen before where a group that never bets any money got their hands on $2,500 and they pissed it away in the first race because of improper structure and improper usage.

With 60k the most I would spend on one ticket would be 15k or 25%, my three most expensive tickets wouldn't go over 30k.

With those types of numbers, you should have 15 tickets out of 60k

the first ticket i structured was 28,800... boom right off the bat
5x5x4x6x6x4

as far as the ts pool goes, im just interested to see how many tickets they create with 60k...i mean am i gonna see 30K tickets that
1x1x1x1x1x1x1

was considering throwing in $20-$30 for the hell of it, but im not sure the risk reward was worth it

The cheapest I could play it with confidence would be (before scratches) 3x3x4x4x4x4, which would cost about $4,600, so I guess I'm passing.

I'm having a similar problem. It sucks when you start hoping for scratches to help narrow your ticket down.

5 turf races.

If I wanted my a.ss kicked I'd go down to MLK street and talk s.hit about Obama. Much cheaper.

tiggerv 09-01-2010 09:20 AM

I was planning on making a serious run at this one but I could spend 2 grand and only hit 3/6. I guess I will play a cheap ticket and hope it's my day.
