How many BAD horses have you bought before you finally stumbled on WLAL?...Probably well over half of your horses have NOT panned out, but I don;t hear you talking about that....When bloodstock agents brag about their purchases I just sit back and laugh because people that understnd the industry know what you are all about.....You don;t ahe to put up any of your own money and you only have to be right every so often....you pick out 60 busts before you buy her and then give her to the only trainer that can mysteriously make horses run out of there skin and the aclaim your self as a great bloodstock agent....hey, taht is your perogative....the people that understnd your part of the industry sit back and laugh everytime they hear one of you guys brag....its laughable.....it is called law of numbers and anybody will evenbtually stumble on a good horse over years and years of doing what you do....but I notice you guys never mention the ones that don't pan out - kind of like the 2-year-old filly you bought from CD earlier this year from Eddie Kenneally that now looks like a bust after throwing up at the Spa last month.... |

Ok so you are also the youngest one fired, which should have taught you some humility, apparently it did not. Its one thing to write about and criticize folks doing soemthing, its another to do it. |
Hey ... I thought this was a Lawyer Ron thread.
Doesn't anybody want to comment on last night's race? |

belong to me and langfuhr are both on the top 100 list for this year, langfuhr at #11...danzig is on there as well, not too bad for an old man. they're all on the turf list as well, altho not as high as his son danehill...and lookie there, so is war chant, lost soldier and foxhound. and kris s...arch is moving up in the world. i've kept my eye on him the last few years, gratifying to see. |

While I understand the error somewhat, you misinterpreted a post I made targeted at a specific board member and turned it into a situation where you mistakenly claimed i was speaking about Sheikh Mo and anyone who liked his horses. Tell you what tough guy, you go back and read through every post I ever made, I havent erased any and wont now. You won't find one that alludes to what you have accused me of. You apologize to me after reviewing my posts or i will make DAMN sure that your lies and inaccurate statements about me are addressed. If you have any honor whatsoever, you will go back and see where you made your error in interpretation, apologize, and we won't mention it again. But you will address this lie that you have perpetuated or I will. |

Once again, in front of us all, please show us the posts where I said the things about Sheikh Mo or anyone who likes his horses that you claim I said. When I got back home last night i was STUNNED at what you had done to that thread and where you had taken it. It was complete cowardly bull****. I never said any such things about Sheikh Mo, either here nor elsewhere. You have a lot of nerve making things up about other people and then talking about getting personal Joel. You goofed on this one, tell you what, you find me the post where i called Sheikh Mo anything of the sort, and I will leave this board for good, gone goodbye. |

Notice that noone will jump to your defense on this one, despite the fact that plenty are ready to always jump on me or take me on. The reason noone has come to your aid is because they already read the thread through and realize that you goofed, that i never spoke that way about Sheikh Mo. But in your fervent obsessive haste to defend your Royal family against anyonme who might criticize them, you jumped at shadows that werent there and started a smear campaign against me. Smarten up Joel. Go back and read things through, I already explained where you made the error in interpretation, but it was indeed an error. |

For the record, I don't see where Oracle deleted posts but I am going to say that this is gone too far. Mike, you should have never even mentioned Arabs and terrorism, a bad move because it is automatic controversy...... |

Track was gooey after heavy rain the previous overnight, officially good but the horses came back pretty plastered with it. Ron sat back in fifth, 5 or 6 back of a quintet who made the early fractions. He moved up around horses on the turn and engaged the remaining leader, Lewis Micheal at the top of the stretch. He put that one away, but Smokeyjonessutton (one of my boxcar winners at Kee last spring) had slipped up the rail and was still running, too. Ron battled him for a bit, but was drawing away at the end. All in all, a good return race, the right sort of test for a horse that is not yet in optimum racing condition. |

he's up to #17 on the list now for '06...he's done well here and overseas. les arcs in europe, and now pine island and arravale last wknd. those two fillies will move him up in the next bhorse edition. i always liked kris s, and arch is turning into a good rep for him. better late than never for kris s! i know some are hoping rock hard ten will do well...but i think arch is helped out by his broodmare sire as well!! (ya now i had to put that in there...) |
Good to see Lawyer Ron is back and already winning. :)
Brother Derek and Sharp Humor should be next. |

And thanks, BB, for your heroic attempt to wrest this thread back to being about LR... did you see the race? What did you observe? |

Stallions by Danzig who have sired group or graded winners:
Chief's Crown, Dayjur, Pine Bluff, Polish Precedent, Polish Patriot, Danehill, Polish Navy, Shaadi, Lure,Green Desert, Anabaa, Lost Soldier, Dumaani, Maroof, Bertolini, Military, Mujahid, Monashee Mountain, Boundary, War Chant, Petit Loup, Brahms, Emperor Jones, Ishiguru, Partner's Hero, Danzig Connection, Eagle Eyed, Langfuhr. I may not have caught them all. I'd call that a pretty good collection. A lot of these were overseas, like the Danehills. I got to visit Danzig at Claiborne a few years ago; he was very old but still in good shape. Very mellow (or just too old to bother), let us pet and fuss over him. Nearly a carbon copy of Northern Dancer, without the bright white markings. Little bulldog of a horse. Why do people think big=good and small=bad? Plenty of counterexamples. |

Oooops ... sorry ... I'm getting a little too wound up in this thread. What was the question again? Oh, yeah ... Lawyer Ron ... I didn't see the race ... just reviewed the chart. He didn't set off skyrockets ... but he did beat some horses who were in better shape than he was. It shows that he's a decent quality race horse ... but I don't think he'll ever break Bernardini's heart. |
Quote:
I agree with you on LR vs. Bernardini-- in fact, I don't think any three-year-old can break Bernardini's heart at this point, but I'm glad LR did well. And I hope he'll be back as a 4-year-old, too... Useless trivia-- "Pansy O'Hara" was Margaret Mitchell's original name choice for her immortal heroine. |

Anyone know who else is headed to the Super Derby? (If Lawyer Ron goes, of course...). It would be good to see a few of the old gang clash again -- LR, Bro Derek, SNS. There are still quite a few good 3yo's out there if they can stay healthy.
