Why doesn't everyone just chill out, there is an ignore feature on this board, if you don't like what someone has to say, block them

This thread is about ORACLE and how he was WRONG. Lets see if he is EVER going to be stand up. I wont hold my breath.

By the way, Gomez already has two wins today. He had 3 yesterday. If he keeps this up, he may catch Prado in the Saratoga standings.

Danzig 08-26-2006 02:00 PM

not exactly sure why people want to come back and demand an apology or retraction when someone, or mostly a certain someone, is wrong. what's the point? if we all had to face 'you were wrong, admit it' threads, would anyone ever go out on a limb on anything? make a pick?

what, we have message board police now?? i don't recall anywhere in the rules on here that said you must come and take your lumps when you're wrong. it's irritating, at least to me. it's all up here in black and white. everyone can see, and go back and re-read, what was said. funny what interests some on here.

Oracle deserves it in this case because he is always one to say "I told you so."

Danzig 08-26-2006 02:06 PM

so he says that...so what

i'd rather see the others put up their own thoughts, if they're correct, wonderful. seems to me their i told you sos are just as irritating.

Where i come from, if you talk it then be prepared to eat it. I'll put up my selections as i did the other day at the spa in the selections section. And if im wrong and someone calls me out then I will tip my hat and say "good day". Its called being a man. This oracle is a little child.

And if you dont like it, dont respond. But please dont whine.

Scav 08-26-2006 02:22 PM

Guys, lets let the thread die, I am sure Steve will take care of it

Danzig 08-26-2006 02:24 PM

lol
i'm not the one starting a thread like this, but I'M the whiner??

i don't like i told you so threads from anyone, directed towards anyone, nor do i like 'i'm right' threads. big egos bother me. and in that i am very consistent.

true scavs...definitely not a racing thread, which is much more enjoyable.

Well ive looked through a couple of Oracle's "i told you threads" and i havent seen you rail against him in any of them. Yeah, real consistent.

There isnt anything "whiney" about this thread. I was just calling someone out that makes a habit out of calling everyone else out. But i guess you shouldnt call out the lord of the flies.

oracle and i have been posting for years, i long ago gave that up--it's fruitless. believe me, he and i have had some tremendous go rounds over the years.

and now i guess i'll call it a day on this thread. it bears no fruit either. by all means, continue. maybe you'll make headway. but i doubt it.

Really? I've heard Rupert say he was wrong many times, usually about a horse he liked or didn't like, but sometimes about other aspects of racing. It's one of the reasons I respect him so much. Do you really find it so humiliating to admit you were wrong about something you said. Apparently oracle does.

Oracle in the past week has said that Bute can be administered on race day in California. He has yet to correct that error, despite saying he would talk to a trainer who would know.

Oracle posted that he would admit he was wrong about Songster if the sheets came back showing Songster's last race was on a par with other races. Still waiting for that promise to be fulfilled.

And now the one referred to in this thread, where oracle assured us that JV would never go 0-5. Instead of ackowledging he was wrong, he makes a ridiculous comment about "miniscule" number of races. (most riders would kill to have 25 mounts at Saratoga in 5 days, with as many live ones as JV had).

I'm not here to bug oracle. I'm here to talk horses, share info, learn something. But there's a pattern here of oracle dishing it out but not taking any responsibility for his own errors or promises. And yes, it bothers me, but not enough to keep me up at night.

Well Said!

Dont look now but Garret Gomez just won another one...his third winner off the day and it was a theft on the lead. Nice ride Garrett!

Henny Hughes better not lose or it will be 0-6 days.

Seattleallstar 08-26-2006 03:49 PM

breaks it with interpretation

Gomez just rode his fourth winner of the day. He had 3 winners yesterday. That means he's won 7 races in two days. That's not too bad.

Joel,
If you wanna suck up to Arabs be my guest. My best guess would be that waxing poetic about them on a message board wouldn't be quite the best way to go about it though. Perhaps actually achieving something within the industry would, say like, buying a grade one winner. Wake me up when you get around to doing something of that magnitude.
As far as this thing with johnny goes, when I criticize a rider I criticize the ride itself. Dunbar is such a pathetic moron that he took the time to find teh prices of his losing mounts yet couldn't find one that was a bad ride. And isn't that the point?
Bernadini is the best three year old I ever saw as of today, no doubt about it.

Gomez is in one his hot streaks the last week, making all the right moves and I really haven't seen him butcher one this week even in his losing efforts(you see Dunbar, if you wanna criticize a rider you have to cite a specific ride, something you were unable to do.

You don't read too well, do you oracle. No one said JV gave a bad ride. But someone said he would never go 0-5. Gee, I wonder what genius said that. Probably the same genius that thinks 25 rides in 5 days is "miniscule".

LOL

Dont try to weasel out of it you spineless little punk. No one said anything about JV doing anything wrong. It was merely pointed out that you were WRONG and too much of a chump to admit it.

Now run along little man. Indeed, you are a very little man.

No terrorist sympathizer, you are.
No I wanna get this out in the open right now. And don't say it doesn't matter because it DOES matter. Are you or are you not sympathetic to the plight and cause of those who are attempting to hurt the United States?
I want nothing to do with consorting with someone like you.

You are pathetic. You will stoop to anything to avoid simply admitting you were wrong that JV would NEVER go 0-5.

No answer one of mine Joel, why the outright obsession and gushing over the darley/godolphin/zabeel etc stable?
It borders on lunacy. Pages and pages of posts about everything that is darley.
What is your agenda?

Have you ever met Sheik mohammed? how do you know that he is such a bad person? I mean, he ONLY donated all of his horses purse earnings for the Breeders' Cup after 9-11 and he won two races with Fantastic Light and Tempera and ran second in the Classic with Sahkee....that was a TON of cash he gave the community of New York on that day alone and he didn't have to do ****...But, what does he get for his generosity?...Ungreatful New Yorkers like you calling him a terrorist....shameful...

And now you have lied about me. And i expect a full apology and retraction, or I promise you sonny boy, we will meet some day and we will see how tough your cajun ass is.
Perhaps you best read through the whole thread. Apparently down in Lousiana they dont teach reading so well. I never called Sheikh Mo anything of the sort here, or anywhere. Its only your ignorant bayou mind that interpreted what i said that way, and then libeled me. Go back and read through, especially the part where I call him a decent and sporting man.
You made this all up, interpreted a comment meant directly for the poster called dalakhani, and libeled me.
You owe me a serious apology little boy.

Bull****, you practically have an orgasm everytime they run. Noone gets that excited over a prediction.

Another threat. Oh, you are so tough. How can anyone not cower away from their keyboard in fear of your wrath? You ignorant moron. LOL

No one libeled you jackass. Do you have to constantly type out of your ass?

All of this because you were WRONG about a jockey? LOL...Grow up. Just grow up.

Yes...but not in the way you think. I am sympathetic to your mother because she spread her legs one time (maybe she was drunk, maybe she needed the money) and out came this mindless little bigot that whines and cries anytime someone calls he/she out. People like her, by having idiots like yourself, have done more harm to this country than any "terrorist".

Yeah, I don't even comment to threats....he doesn't even know me....thats crazy....if he feels the need to say stuff that ridiculous to make himself feel better then he is truly sick....

We may actually meet one day and if he makes that decision it is his perogative.....he wouldn't want that though

I seldom get involved in these childish threads but you are way out of line Dalakthani, you went way overboard with these comments. While we dont see eye to eye on a lot of things, opinions are opinions. But what you just posted is repulsive and very ignorant to say the very least. I would hope Steve or Ateam would delete this entire thread. You must have missed what most real americans went through in 2001. To poke light of it like you just did makes you a very shallow person.

yeah, and that is any more repulsive then someone saying that they wanted to watch me and my loved ones "burned"? And you laughed at that one! You are of the same ilk as the Oral80 fool.

Just shut up. Your opinion is meaningless to me.

edit

BTW, what did this thread have to do with 9/11? Absolutely nothing. But some child couldnt admit that he was wrong about a friggin jockey. Now, gander, go tell. We wouldnt want everyone to continue reading your "special friend", the oral guy, looking so foolish.

Gander 08-27-2006 12:14 PM

He said just burn you (not your loved ones) and believe me I wasnt laughing at the thought of you being physically harmed, I was laughing at Oracle in general, we've known each other many years. Lighten up, this is the internet. You can say what you want about Oracle and me but please dont make light of the terrorist situation in our great country. If you think its such a joke you shouldnt be living here. Peace.

was the real crime here......

I will answer this here because you put it in a civil way. I dont make light of the "terrrorist situation". It is a worldwide problem. I was making a serious point in the middle of what i said to the oral guy. IT IS the attitude of people like the oral guy that do our country the most harm. I am not making light of it. I lost a dear friend in 9/11 (i live 20 minutes from the pentagon and have done business with the government for years). Im sorry that you misunderstood my post.

You tell me to lighten up...but yet your little friend is making the threats to me and others. Why dont you tell HIM to lighten up? He/she is the one that has made this thread hostile. The only thing this thread was about was he/she being wrong about a dumb statement. Thats all. Now its about 9/11?

Now you can go tell and have this thread removed. Peace.
