Your just typing.. How isn't talking about woman you slept with, and woman I have slept with, talking about my sex life? How did you not do that? Wow....Love to see all these supposed sexist comments, and I haven't gotten one NEGATIVE PM about my posts, EVER. I have physically chilled with a couple of the woman on this board, and I have had great times with most of them. So for all of DT, if I ever offend any of you, please, feel free to holla at me. |

This is embarrassing. I was responding to a prior post ( a Seinfeld reference by the way....as I know you love a reference ) by making fun of both of us. Sorry if you couldn't see that. Funny....Payson Dave did. But, thanks for letting us know you " physically chilled with a couple wom(e)n on this board. " Oh boy....is it me? |

The discussion was about whether or not this horse would be inundated with claims. I thought the same thing when he ran for a quarter in NY in the Fall and when he wasn't I assumed there was probably something obvious ( or known ) that kept EVERYONE at bay. When Dutrow got away with it again in NJ, where pretty much every mid-Atlantic trainer could have taken him, I felt even more certain. Maybe I'm wrong and they were just afraid to take from Dutrow, but it did seem surprising that NOBODY wanted this horse. Maybe I should have made all this clear from the start.
The rest of the whining is just a deflection from the topic. |
Where's the gong icon when you need it?

Its a lot better off topic. |
The other possibility is that it was also late in the turf season and nobody wanted to claim him and either pay the expense to ship him to Florida or wait until the Spring/Summer to run him in the East. Thus, now he would be a better claim. I suppose that is also a possibility.
|
It's not even remotely off-topic. It's actually an interesting concept/discussion about a racing situation. I'm sorry it got deflected into some personal battle ( I guess if I disagree with someone I'm just being an ******* ).
I shouldn't have joked in response to the Seinfeld reference...and I tend to forget that attempts at humor are often misinterpreted. |

But sometimes your just funny as hell and seepage is unfortunately the consequence of such humor...... |

The fact that you disagree with me is shocking anyways because last I remember, you followed Gulfstream and one specific guy (Rivelli) has claimed three horses off of Dutrow in what is almost the same situation, and others have claimed at that 25k level. More importantly and specific to these now two horses, at ARLINGTON, they will be able to compete at the 16k starter and 25-35k open claimers level, which are races they write and fill all the time, and Rivelli, Catalano, Miller, Canani and Stidham claim horses for those specific levels constantly |
Quote:
Dutrow is looking to steal money. He knows his horse is fast but has issues. He is willing to lose a Graded charge for 15k... Considering how lucky you have to be to have a graded horse evolve,I think the horse while fast, has issues, which Dutrow has been treating. Trainers know Dutrow isnt going to toss an earner to the wind. It is unlikely that anyone will claim the horse. Bob wouldnt claim him I would nt claim him nor would Vol Jack etc. I am not going to be able to out vet dutrow and his team. Dutrow is a sharp horseman I would use him in a country minute if I had the resources for him to be interested!!!!!!!!!! |
That horse kinda looks like a big vet bill waiting to happen.

FOR **** SAKE!! I was NEVER SAYING TO CLAIM THIS F'N horse. ALL I was ****ING SAYING was that there is a few Arlington guys that claim horses like this all the F'N time. ****. F'n Rivelli has a slug in Optimer which is a perfect f'n EXAMPLE! |

What I argued with was you saying everyone and their brother, essentially, was going to go in for the horse. If you had started out by saying one guy, and a guy who has claimed from Dutrow before, would take him, this entire conversation wouldn't have taken place. |

Listen, I am done and over with this. This got way out of hand and way too serious for how it should have been. People, including myself, could have actually learned something, instead they saw two grown men bicker |

I enjoyed it. |
Quote:
The bickering is because you took it off topic ( and I contributed with my ill-advised joke for sure ) by acting as though disagreeing is personal and suggesting a lot of unnecessary things. Yes, Scav, you said three Arlington guys. What you don't seem to get is what that implies....and I think you are dead wrong about this. It implies that only these midwest trainers have access to Starter Handicaps and/or understand the value of claiming a horse that is eligible for them. |
This is great stuff
