So, you figure Rachel would have lost to Dance to My Tune today? And, no, I didn't notice how hard she was lugging in. Even during my fifth viewing. |
Quote:
Nope , she was lugging in before the running started , he already had her head cocked passing the horse on the lead at the 5/16ths pole. She continued to lug in after that if you watch the replay he goes to the left handed stick right away . I have watched her races and I dont recall her lugging in before today , perhaps she did but was on the lead and it didnt matter . When horses start lugging one way or the other there is a habit forming and it may have started in the morning but either way they better get her over it. |

What was I even wrong about? I started a freaking thread saying Zardana might be real competiton to RA. Something that 99% of people would laugh at if I didn't showcase such a good argument in the post. I dug up trainer stats which clearly said Asmussen is a terrible layoff trainer. I'm a classic guy who should be doing better things with his time than wasting it with you. I'm the classic guy who can walk to the bank and withdrawl over a hundred thousand dollars in cash anytime said bank is open. And why? Because of some nice steady high paying job I've had? ... No, I've never had a "job" for more than 4 months in my life. I've never had anything even close to a "real job" ever...and you can be sure I never will. Did I inherit something good? Nope. Trust Fund? Nope. TFM, if this is all somehow your way of pretending that your analytically superior to me .. it's a weak attempt. A 1/9 shot I wouldn't touch with fake money at those odds lost and it's like some kind of glory day for you somehow. |

Look at her head position coming past the 5/16ths pole , when a horse is running comfortable and straight you dont see its head tipping out , dude watch the replay , she was lugging in , is she a horse that always lugs in ? |

All these other points you bring up merely obfuscate the issues. Don't feel bad: BTW, Beyer, CJ, DaHoss, Mike the EUNUCH, PhilSICK, they're all with you. Thanks for the laughs |

Now, I will be nice....but that was a big fat fastball. Please don't throw me any more of those. I just don't think I can resist again. I'm weak that way. |

I didn't see anything today to sway me from my opinion that Rachel is better. Even on an off day she ran a better race. But, I am willing to concede that Zenyatta probably had an off day as well. You know trips...and you know that I know ( this is like a Honeymooners routine ) that you know them.....so please don't pretend that Zenyatta didn't have a great one ( for synth ) today. My favorite moment was when Trevor said she was eight lengths back....when she was really about four lengths behind. |

Thats fine. |

I think we need to see the head-on. I also wonder if she wasn't a little unhappy being ( sort of ) pinned down inside another horse in the stretch. |

Zenyatta didn't run her best today either, but thankfully didn't run into any good horses. She did a good job just finding a way to win anyways. |

Could be a combination of stuff , didnt like being held so hard the first part , maybe she is doing this crap in the mornings trying to get away from the exericise rider , maybe Assman was handed a golden goose last year and doesnt know all of her lil habits yet . Either way Z ran her race with no excuses , she ran against the same crap horses as R.A. did today and got in trouble and still showed her stuff , the classier mare got her picture taken today. |

I called you out for coming on here AFTER THE RACE to talk ****, if you had a bold opinion, you should have shared it prior to the race. The only person I saw selecting a horse other than Rachel in the race was Pacheco and she gave a reason why (even if she ended up on the wrong one her reasoning was good why Rachel could lose.) You said nothing. |

But the final time wound up pretty close...pace may have been a bit more taxing than it seems on paper. But I'm fried after today, so I don't even know what to make of all that, or if I'm making an important point or not :zz: |

Ok Im wrong then . I can admit it . |
Hey Cardus maybe what Im saying is that she is getting away with some stuff in the mornings , maybe Assman know's it but doesnt know what to do to correct it . I do know she is really strong to gallop and it wouldnt be beyond belief that if the gallop boy is just riding her in a d bit that he might be cocking her head to cheat her around the track so she doesnt run off . Maybe I read to much into stuff , but from years of experiance I can tell you she shouldnt be running along with her head tipped one way or the other .
