The Bid 06-30-2008 09:39 PM

My eyes hurt from watching this. Bring in Borowski and his 7.99 ERA, hes perfected the new molotov cocktail pitch

horseofcourse 06-30-2008 09:49 PM

Mike Fischlin would be the number 3 hitter in this offense.

horseofcourse 06-30-2008 09:51 PM

borowski's ERA just plummeted under 7. Parade planned tommorrow.

horseofcourse 06-30-2008 09:52 PM

7.53
6.75
12.00
6.75

ERAs of the 4 Tribe pitchers tonight.

Mortimer 06-30-2008 09:54 PM

HOC...this is quality work you're doing here.

horseofcourse 06-30-2008 10:00 PM

2 of their 5 major league caliber players pitch the next two nights so they may get lucky and win one of them.

horseofcourse 06-30-2008 10:05 PM

Here's Jhonny is a hitting machine when down 7!!!

Mortimer 06-30-2008 10:05 PM

Actually you have to give Laffey a lot of credit.

I just hope he changes his name if he goes south on us.

Oh he's a Monopoly money player all right.

horseofcourse 06-30-2008 10:12 PM

This year Lee, Sabathia, Laffey, Sizemore, Kobayashi and maybe Perez are the major league caliber players. Perhaps Blake if you really wanted to stretch it.

Mortimer 06-30-2008 10:18 PM

Oh well.at least the uniforms aren't bad.

GBBob 06-30-2008 10:57 PM

You aught to pay me to bet against the Rays for the rest of the season....you might only lose 10 more games then

Mortimer 07-01-2008 10:04 AM

Words to make your head rattle:

So ,Mr. Shapiro....you see the immediate and large success Phillips has had at Cincinnati?

Yes....but he wouldn't have done that here . ( meaning he would have been a utility infielder on the Indians and ,therefore, would not have had that chance to star)

=====================

I think Shapiro was saying " I'm even dumber than I sound."

=================

So,Eric...what's the story with Peralta?

Well....we're trying to get him to get all he has brought out to the game. He has so much ability.

Wedge sees a cup almost full where others don't see a cup.

He's signed up for at least 2 more years...it may be 3 or 4.

And ,again, the Indians brain dust could have got a lot more for CC had they done it at the start of the year.....but they saw diamonds where others saw feldspar.

It appears the others were right.

Generally you trade in March you get players, trade in July and you get prospects. Maybe you saw this train wreck of a season coming, but not many others did, IMO.

Yes...those that observed from afar saw big things.

Those who looked up close saw little things.

Such as:

A bewildered Hafner displaying every sign of a wash up.( he's going to set a record for being out the longest time without any operation being done)

Not doing something about leftfield. The Michales/Dellucci platoon did 't work ( SUR-PRAZ SUR-PRAZ!) Lofton was signed and took it over. Then Lofton was dumped and ,of course, the Indians went back to what wasn't working.

Here's Jhonny ( they will never own up to this colossal mistake)

Boroski and a successful pen made up of mostly rookies....rookies who can cave the very next year...which they have.Boroski said everything but " I HAVE HAD IT! YOU WERE LUCKY THIS YEAR!"

Resigning Byrd who was saying the same thing as Boroski.

Wedge.

Shapiro.

OK?

Mortimer 07-01-2008 10:38 AM

Good.

By the way...the monumental give-a-way of Phillips ...they keep compounding the problem. They trade their best 3rd base prospect for a 2nd basemen. A 2nd basemen who had one year in the majors. They did this before last year started . The 2nd basemen was in the minors at the start of this year and the 3rd basemen we traded has been doing admirably...though not with us. Yes...the us who has NO prospect behind the 35 year old Blake. That was supposed to be Marte ....:zz:

Mortimer 07-01-2008 11:43 AM

Obviously ( or maybe not) meant as an anti-American slam, but as a way to point out how good Alexi Ramirez really is and that there are many more in Cuba who are ready to play if they can get out

Mortimer 07-01-2008 12:04 PM

Oh I didn't take it that way at all.

Good players are good players....that's all I meant.

And dumb managers and gm's ....are dumb managers and gm's.

he will disappear soon...I really don't like looking at him either

after all this, Lee and CC will probably shut down the Sox and you guys will take 2/3, not that it really matters anymore, I don't think

Mortimer 07-01-2008 12:25 PM

You're right...it doesn't matter.

You saying you threw away Milton Bradley? CLEVELAND, L.A., OAKLAND,and San Diego all seemed to be willing to let him fly away. The Dodgers could sure use anybody that can hit. I would be willing to swap Kent for him(God knows the 2 can't be under the same roof for long.) This f'n Kent is gunna be the most lame HOF inductee ever. Just look at last night. He gets a couple hits with nobody on base. Then, with a guy on(and no outs,) he hits into a double play. That's the guy in a nutshell. That's how a team gets 11 hits and 1 run. A team (with everybody getting atleast one hit) can only get 1 run because of a piece of **** leader like that wanna-be motorcycle cop.

Mortimer 07-01-2008 02:44 PM

I would take Bradley back in a heartbeat.

We do have Franklin G. for him,but Wedge won't play him to see if he can hit..which I believe he can....but I'm sure it will be with another team.

Scav 07-01-2008 04:06 PM
