Let's hope you're kidding.

Excuse me for missing the obvious....it's Derbytime and people are prone to make even the most inane comments seriously.

...... no, are you telling me when you cap this race he isnt a standout?? come on.

Scav 04-28-2008 01:31 PM

Unfortunetly I might be pretty sober the whole trip also. While my friend is driving down, I have been assigned driving duties for the rest of the trip, so I will have to power drink from 10am to 3pm and then get ready to drive at 7ish after the races

My negatives for Big Brown
- Beat what?
- Bred to stop at 8f
- running style

You said he should be 1:5.

As far as handicapping this race.....they draw in about 52 hours. I have, however, handicapped the first two days at Belmont. I've found 12 better races to bet than this year's Derby.

alysheba4 04-28-2008 01:35 PM

hey, if b.b is up the track. i lose.......this is my 24th straight derby i will be wagering on. i just think he looks like the biggest lock i have seen, i thought so about point given but that year was a way stronger field.

....i agree

philcski 04-28-2008 01:41 PM

Side note, it sure is refreshing to see opening day at Belmont only 48 hours away. :)

alysheba4 04-28-2008 01:42 PM

man, you arent kidding......the duct is hideous.

I agree, love how they put 5 turf races a day sometimes....and most of the time, BACK TO BACK..what a concept

Let's see Big Truck and Z Fortune run in the Derby, Icabad Crane in the Preakness, if they need to be freshened, the phase of the moon is right, I go to church.......Cape could hit the board.

Don't forget, we haven't had any rain for weeks really. We could use some.

Add, never had to look a horse that isn't going to quit in the eye. (Maybe Big Brown wont slow down long enough for them to look him in the eye.)

I like the card.

Would love to, but taking off Friday already to be at CD for the Oaks... unless I catch a surprise midweek cold!

We should be proud of SCAV showing us how to drink & drive responsibly..that means you can now hit the ATM as many times as necessary without calling U.S. Gambling Hotline: 1-800-522-4700.:)

he is for the suckers out there . you know the bandwagon folks that believe the hype . big brown will turn out to be the horse version of the patriots. didn't i make money that day too ?? lol ! what has he done ? 1-5 in a derby and you claim to have bet on 24 in a row. how many of those won ? and nows theres a guy with a big brown handle on here. is it the same guy that had discreet cat=monster, i must come on here for the chuckle i get reading this crap !

skippy3481 04-28-2008 08:10 PM

a lock as in can't lose.... are you serious. Your proclaiming a lock before the race is drawn and the weather known... wow, solid.

You found 12 races in the first two days at Belmont that are better races to bet than a race with an 8/1 shot that is a near cinch to run in the exacta, while in a race that has about 15 throwouts in it!?

because the horse will be short, running 1and 1/4 off three races , hes by boundry, his first 2 races were supposed to be turf. and then some moron that claims to be following the derby for 24 years thinks he should be 1-5. thats enough for me to bet anybody but . he may hit the board. i will be very surprised if he wins. i've followed more than 24 derbies and seen many a big brown go down the toilet. like a "bigbrown" should....lol

alysheba4 04-29-2008 01:42 PM

well, who do you like johnny pinhead? anyone moron can say who WONT WIN.

johnny pinwheel 04-29-2008 06:27 PM

well for one , i don't bet the favorite in the derby, though i might use him underneath. last time i did it was a major burn. like a fool i bet bellamy road a few years ago. remind you of anyone ? yeah, big brown. especially when this horse has so many negatives. anything below 4-1 is a foolish bet and 1-5 is just plain dumb. with 20 horses bumping and grinding you had better get value at least. believe me kid i've learned the hard way. i would start by looking at pyro, gayego, z fortune and colonel john.....just my opinion. every jug head that does not bet all year will be on big brown, take my word for it . its not like i've never taken my lumps to know better.

alysheba4 04-29-2008 06:35 PM

hey, i dont usually bet the favorite........last one i did was point given and i got waxed. i wont lose a bit of sleep if bid brown is up the track.... i just feel he is at this moment the best horse in the race, i will only be using b.b in exotics. anyway, good luck to whoever you decide on....
