Clearly the good info is to be found on Facebook.

Coach Pants 02-04-2008 02:54 PM

Mott has been on fire, and I think everybody knows this. I don't care how I got my info, if it works out and I cash I'm happy. It's actually a good facebook group because it is other college kids talking horse racing, which isn't a very popular thing to most guys my age.

TitanSooner 02-04-2008 02:59 PM

congrats Irish

Congrats on your victory Irish.

Placing big bets on info. that you got on facebook (or any book), from your local dormatory wise guy or anybody on the street with an opinion, is going to put your squarely in the fast lane to ruin. It worked out this time and I am genuinely happy for you, but if you want to last in this game, you need to put the work in yourself and come up with your own opinions.

IrishofNDMan 02-04-2008 03:10 PM

Race 7

TitanSooner 02-04-2008 03:10 PM

Let's start with the first part........not exactly. He had an exceptional meet in Saratoga but he has hardly been on fire since then and is having a very good meet at Gulfstream ( I think this was his 10th or 11th win ) but not exactly on fire. He was 9 for 53 into today I believe with an ROI of 1.27.

As for the latter part......I couldn't agree more and think that's awesome.

I bet on the info I was given, but I know Alaazo has been working great and I really liked his chances from the things I've seen, so it made sense seeing as how I was hearing good things and liked him myself.

I completely understand what you are saying, and I have been giving information from people that has def. not worked out before.

Coach Pants 02-04-2008 03:17 PM

Well time to quit while I'm ahead.

blackthroatedwind 02-04-2008 03:19 PM

Well, I started the late Pick-3 by using only the 3 and 12, and pressing the 3, but playing no exacta. So, I guess it will be fine if I hit the Pick-3, but very annoying when I blow.

Thanks.

I'm 4 x 3 for different amounts. I used 3, 5, 6 and 7 here and pressed the 5 and 6.

I would tell you who I used in the finale but I would then have to kill you.

IrishofNDMan 02-04-2008 03:30 PM

Guess it's my lucky day so far.

I've been making bets with my twinspires account and my girlfriend Heather comes over by me when I'm watching the post parade at Fairgrounds. She sees the 8 Heather's Angel in the 7th race here and tells me to bet $10 on her (she knows I just won with Alaazo).

Anways, Heather's Angel won at 5-1.

I've been a fan of horse racing since I first went to the track. None of my friends understand it. They went to the track with me once and acted like complete idiots, yelling out loud things that made no sense and almost making a mockery of it. First and last time I would ever go to the track with them.

I guess you either get horse racing or you don't.

nice with the 5 and 6. Tried pushing my win bet on the 6, and got the "betting for this race is closed" red message on twinspires. Would have continued a good day for me.

blackthroatedwind 02-04-2008 03:46 PM

Thanks. I didn't play the race individually, frankly I thought 3-1 on the 6 was pretty mediocre, but hopefully I can get one of my horses home in the Pick-3.

43.1 for Quality Affair... Nice riding Lescano, burn him up early..

fpsoxfan 02-04-2008 04:02 PM

Need the 4,5, or 6 for a halfway decent double.

Coach Pants 02-04-2008 04:07 PM

Completely overlooked this one when constructing pick 4 ticket

6 Twinbucktu Win

IrishofNDMan 02-04-2008 04:09 PM

Playing Mott and Desormeaux again in the last.

12 Doctor Cal to win

Tough odds to take, I agree. Then again, the cutback in distance pretty much insured against (the repeat of) an IDIOT ride.

(And, as it turned out, the ridiculous early fractions made it a perfect setup.)

blackthroatedwind 02-04-2008 05:54 PM

It would have been hard to eclipse the idiocy of her previous ride.
