Give the guy his props, they about killed him by pitching him in 90 games every year, sometimes 4 days in a row. who could last under that?

SCUDSBROTHER 04-07-2008 11:57 PM

WOW,JUST your luck Franklin refused to bite on the slider.Nice discipline..Tough inning...Some how I knew Frankie might get in trouble.It's one thing to have bad control against Minnesota,but you don't want to pull that against the Tribe.Funny thing isI thought ball 4 to Haffner was close enough to get called a strike,but he wouldn't pull the string for ya.Just let it go..LOL...

Cannon Shell 04-08-2008 12:01 AM

****ing closers. I have had more great starts this week that got pissed away by the bullpen....it is enough to make me quit betting baseball even though i'm doing pretty good.

Really was never close to holding that 2 run lead.Do they miss the lefty reliever they sent to Atlanta? Or did he go bad in Atlanta....Name starts with an H( I THINK.)

A Jones 2008

Ba= .118

Hr= 0

Rbi= 1

SCUDSBROTHER 04-12-2008 12:01 PM

At this rate,he is gunna be benched,and not get the minimum number of bats.Chuck may get bailed out that way.That or an injury.Cuz this here overpaid brat isn't gunna be hittin' 31 HR.May take him until the allstar break to even get 31 RBI.Ain't like he is hitting any deep balls.Joe gunna hit him 8th soon.

Sad situation...Jones,at his age and with his fading stats, wasn't the answer to juan Pierre! Bring back Campanis!:eek:

SCUDSBROTHER 04-13-2008 05:27 PM

BA= .100 4 hits all year

Pittsburgh can't get here soon enough.

SCUDSBROTHER 04-15-2008 10:10 PM

He's warming up.He has hit 2 deep balls the last 2 nights.Cold Ocean air kept them in the house.Should have both been caught,but somehow they botched one(charitable triple.) Tough house to hit them out of at night(unless ya simply throw a horrible fastball right down the middle...Saito say oh no no!)

SCUDSBROTHER 04-19-2008 05:52 PM

HR » LAD: A. Jones (1) ...Canon only needs 30 more.

He's getting rid of that winter fat

pgardn 04-19-2008 07:18 PM

Distinct possibility this will be the longest
running thread of all time.

What? What?

SCUDSBROTHER 04-19-2008 11:31 PM

Dodgers sure go into a coma a lot.Seems their natural state.Just not very good.One thing they know how to do is make an out on offense.They have got this down well.Practice makes perfect.You don't still think they are gunna win this division do you? If Lowe doesn't get a lead by the 2nd inning,then he pretty much is gunna give it up.Wasn't he on a roll the other night,and then he gets lit up in Atlanta.I've never seen such a mentally weak bunch.Andruw fits in perfectly.The only gamer is Furcal.Martin used to be a gamer,but he looks like he realizes they aren't very good.Team Can't hit good pitching.Dog don't hunt,and it ain't gunna anytime soon.

SCUDSBROTHER 04-22-2008 09:43 PM

O.K.,I KNOW IT'S EARLY ,BUT THIS HERE BET IS OVER. Hope for an injury.The only way you're getting out of this is by him not getting his minimum at bats(80% of his career high.)They're starting to bench him once a week.They let him pinch hit in garbage time,and he swung right thru another pitch to strike out (for God knows how many times this year.) This dog ain't gunna hunt for you,and the Dodgers ain't gunna hunt for me.They are crap.When they get embarassed enough,then they hit,but only then....believe me,they are an embarassment.I can write this script.He is gunna get hurt(out of site, out of mind.)Notice how electric lines,and telephone lines are up on poles? O.K.,BUT WHERE ARE SEWER LINES? In the ground(out of site, out of mind.)

Crown@club 04-22-2008 10:54 PM

Andruw Jones is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game because of allergies.

A direct result of him dispersing so much pollen with his swings lately.

This after being dropped to 8th in the batting order on Monday. He might be the 8th worst hitter in the starting lineup, but he doesn't need to be put in that spot to swing at sliders low and away, so the opposing team can get to the pitcher.

SCUDSBROTHER 04-23-2008 10:35 PM

Even in L.A.,the guy is really hearing it from the fans tonite.100k a game to pop up and strikeout isn't sitting well.They should blame the guy who made the decision to pay him 17 mil a year(after hitting about .225 last season.)It's the guy's birthday.How can ya boo him om his birthday? LOL...Maybe he will somehow run into a pitch like he did last weekend in Atlanta.

goingtothewhip 04-24-2008 03:02 AM

He's been getting boo'd since the second week when they returned home to face the Pad's. I went to the Peavy v Penny game that friday and it sounded like Tomko was back in town every time Jones waddled to the plate.

No way he could have regressed this much. If he was batting .240 thats one thing, but .159 ?? Is this a hex from Seattle for Beltre's first year?

SCUDSBROTHER 04-24-2008 06:25 AM

CANON jinxed the young man.........Even Andruw got a hit in his last at bat.It was one of those nights that the Dodgers decide to go out and find a way to beat somebody.They are doing that every other game at home,but like every fifth game on the road.They are teasers (at best.) If they can get somebody on an off night(like Haren had,) then they can hit that,but any other kind of pitching blows them away.

SCUDSBROTHER 04-27-2008 09:20 PM

Strike out leaders :

1 Ryan Howard PHI 37
2 Mark Reynolds ARI 35
3 Chris Young ARI 32
4 Carlos Pena TAM 31
5 Andruw Jones LAD 29

Andruw has only the 5th most in all of baseball.Problem is the top 4 all have 5-7 home runs,and he has still got 1!
