I've said it before. How in the hell does Tom Foley get rides at Hollywood of all places? He is 3 for 141 for the year and most of those races came at Tampa. If he couldn't win at Tampa why are guys like Doug O'Neil (today's 7th) hiring the guy?

He must have pictures.

Rooting hard for my boy Scavs.....

It's his agent that books him the rides. Nick Cosato is booking Toms rides along with MC Baze and Clinton Potts.

Rootdog1 06-06-2007 05:48 PM

I would rather have a monkey* and 100lbs of dead weight then have Foley on my horse. (*estimate of 15lbs for the monkey)

I fully aware that agents book rides.

TF must have the hardest working one in the business. More power to him, just don't think he is the calibur of rider to be on this circuit. If you can't win at Tampa, you're not going to win at Hollywood, it's not rocket science.

There always seems to room for 2 bug boys in SoCal and most don't stay around long after they lose their bug. Tom is most likely working horses for next to nothing in the morning for O'neil to get the rides.

Scav 06-06-2007 06:03 PM

1) Foley is Laviolette long lost brother

2) I am getting what I want, but I am not confident in my ticket whatsoever now with the way they pounded this 9, in the 7th, in all pools possible.....

I have seen the monkeys ride minature horses in races at Agua Caliente in T.J.,Mexico. One of the funnist things I've seen.

Bad break for the 11 cost me some serious tri $....

Rootdog1 06-06-2007 06:14 PM

shocked the 2 is 9-1 right now....the horse is inconsistent but if she can repeat the last on the cushion she should be right there....specially since I do not see a ton of speed in here. If she can lay 3rd and take over in the lane all she has to do is hold off some serious hangers

I am with you scavs I have a $10 double to the 2,6,8 I left off the even money fav who is probably the best horse but she has yet to show it. I just hope today is not her breakout day.

Scav 06-06-2007 06:18 PM

Don't get sucked in Root, something is up with this 9 horse. When they are bet like this, they usually win for fun...

Rootdog1 06-06-2007 06:21 PM

connections are the reason, as well as the breeding....not due to the races she has run on the track. I think it goes 2,6,8,9 in some sort of order

Rootdog1 06-06-2007 06:29 PM

crap....what a messed up race

Scav 06-06-2007 06:30 PM

Just BS, rat runs last......and Tom Foley actually had a shot to win. 9 horse was the nuts......

I find that the way the race was run a little suprising. but not shocked at all that the 9 won the race. This really was a tough race to call, at least I thought it was. You had a bunch of horses with some very positive signs, but some ? marks also. That was not easy imo. I wont beat myself up or anyone else on that one. I think I am getting to like Hollywood.
