That's interesting. I thought the 6 horse looked the most dangerous. If they hold the two longest shots I'll definitely take a stab at the 1,6 xbox.

jman5581 04-27-2007 09:48 AM

Seems to do better on dirt than AW, first time in for a tag, fastest figure for the distance... nice trainer angles, except for shippers %.

Anyone else worried that McPeek uses the 4 horse on the front end to set up his wife's horse?

I think the #5 might force a pretty solid pace in this race. She outran the #4 early in the Apr 15 race they both come out of.

I didn't know that the 2 horse was his wife's horse, but I was worried about that one anyway. Now I have another reason to worry.

I see the 3 horse and the 5 horse giving Sumwon some heat on the front end, as they seem to like having the lead.

I think I'm just going to bet my usual $20 WPS and then try to will her across the finish line first.

PeteMugg 04-27-2007 04:21 PM

Even from the one hole I'm hoping she rates and runs her race. I don't think she'll steal this one and I'd prefer her to finish strong. Second race back and a small field, this should be a good indicator for where she belongs.

i doubt this field is elephantine, and that sumwon is only a bb gun. in other words, stfu. ooops, there goes the heart instead of the head again.

RIGHT!

ArlJim78 04-27-2007 08:21 PM

She is still in tough waters, but this is definitely heading in the right direction.
If she can catch a seam and get comfortable, she could go a long way.
Lots of reasons to project a nice forward move from her this time.
Willie is a crafty Churchill jock.

Good Luck to the DT stable!!:)

AeWingnut 04-27-2007 09:24 PM

I'm just hoping the rail is still gold
:D

onebadbeast 04-28-2007 12:28 AM

Hey, At Least Pletcher Is Not In Our Race!

pgardn 04-28-2007 11:22 AM

Everyone of her opponents ran a good solid race last time out. Nothing easy here. If she can pull this off it would be a very nice win.

I hate being a hater but she's got alot of moving up to run top 3 here guys. Nothing against the filly guys just speaking the truth. If she runs fro someone else you guys would be all over the person for picking her to win. Just speaking the truth and the truth hurts sometimes. Good Luck maybe she makes me eat crow but I think not this Sunday.

AeWingnut 04-28-2007 06:39 PM

I see your point but

boo

The payoffs today are huge. Sumwon won't be a favorite - unless we all bet her down

thats the good news
the bad news is that I saw a lot of big numbers
no gold rail today

 We are all well aware of the truth, we just don't understand why everyone not involved feels the need to put in their two cents.

Danzig 04-28-2007 06:40 PM

glad to see that once again, people pay attention to what is ultimately being achieved here. it's wonderful to see.

packerbacker7964 04-28-2007 06:47 PM

I guess I'm missing the point. I'm glab so many people on here can finally agree on something. Good Luck I'll be rooting for you but not going to throw my money away on her. See everyone has their right to say what they want. I can't see things like others on here do. I always look at what I'm up against and look for the +/- of it. +'s are she's getting back into shape, small field and she's got some speed. Now here comes the -'s Lot's of good horse flesh in here, she's entered double over what she's ran and been competitive against. Good Luck we'll see what happens tomorrow.

pgardn 04-28-2007 07:10 PM

As major partner in this venture I feel compelled to think we are going to be the Bud longshot in this race. But thats ok. Not as long as our last outing. This will give us a good look how the big girl is progressing.

Isn't putting our two cents in on things we are not involved in what this board is all about?
I will be cheering for her tomorrow, and I hope she hits the board for you guys....but to me, this seems like a tough spot for her. I hope I'm wrong though.
Best of luck to all of you!

packerbacker7964 04-28-2007 10:20 PM

Unless your thoughts are + and your part owner you can't comment on it.

ALostTexan 04-29-2007 12:24 AM

Good luck to all involved with her...

This isn't true, I am sure Steve or Chuck have no issues with negative comments as long as they are constructive.

Scav 04-29-2007 09:42 AM

Good luck today to Sumwon, will be cheering from the 5th hole....

pgardn 04-29-2007 09:57 AM

We are probably going to find ourselves in a number of tough spots because we want to keep ownership and race. If anything, losing gives more options. I think racing was constructed this way to keep it competitive.

PSH 04-29-2007 10:15 AM

Disagree

Should run her where she belongs. Last race was clearly a spot not where she belongs..... I realize Chuck needed a race and a race on the turf and he had limited options. Today, is part of the process of dropping her and finding her right level. The nice thing is there are only six horses and this might or might not be her right level. I suspect that since Chuck is the one on the line for training expenses and 50% of purses that he will quickly drop her to her right level. At worst, she gets claimed and we have dollars to claim another horse within this partnership.

PSH

The Bid 04-29-2007 11:41 AM

She fits in that spot today. Hope she runs well

BillW 04-29-2007 11:53 AM

3-1 @ 21 MTP someone thinks so :D

Zaf 04-29-2007 11:54 AM

Must be all that DT money.

ArlJim78 04-29-2007 11:57 AM

I didn'y know DT'rs had such deep pockets!

ArlJim78 04-29-2007 12:04 PM

Battaglia didn't pick her, so that's a good sign.

Many Others 04-29-2007 12:09 PM

My thoughts exactly!!!! :) Looked good in the paddock and they're on the track... Good luck to all!
