Evening Attire, age 9. Anyone cash the show ticket?

I caught the news late that Evening Attire was coming out of "retirement" to run at Aqueduct today. Retirement bored him, said his connections.

He ran 3rd in the Aqueduct 8th, paying $4.50 for the show ticket.

Nice race back for the old guy. Still a bit hesitant coming out of the gate!! (bless his heart!) One of the cooler horses around.

I just watched the replay, Mayan King was pretty gutsy to come back and win like that.

Evening Attire is an old-fashioned dirt stayer and there just aren't enough races for for him. Won an off-the-turfer over 11f ,or was it 13f on dirt? So he gets up for pieces in races too short for him. Too bad the Gallant Fox was earlier in the winter - that would have suited him to a tee.
