My response was tongue-in-cheek wayne...although I didn't really find the list funny, it takes much more than that to offend me.

for sex you can hire someone, same as having a kid.

The only thing that I need from a man is sex and children. Of course, I want to fall in love and be swept off of my feet for the rest of my life. I want to take care of someone, and I want to die beside of my soul mate. I just will never depend on a man for money purposes nor will I ever need one for money purposes. That is what I meant.

There is a big difference in needs and wants when it comes to love. Who knows? If I meet the right person, I may need that person for the rest of my life. Obviously, I wouldn't know that because I haven't met that person yet.

I didn't mean to come off in the manner that I did. I love being in love, and I do want to get married one day if I find my soul mate.

And trust me, I don't have to hire for sex.

Nah, wayne. You're fine. I knew it was a joke because I know that you're not that kind of a person. Quite frankly, I found it humorous because I knew how untrue some of those things were. I just wanted to put a spin on it and prove some of it wrong.;)

I didn't mean to come off in the manner that I did. I love being in love, and I do want to get married one day if I find my soul mate. Hell, I'm in love now which is really stupid of me because of the circumstances. It may be stupid, but I don't care. Well, maybe it isn't love. Maybe it is just...I don't know. I'm confused (something that I am used to) right now. Let's just leave it at that.

And trust me, I don't have to hire for sex.

i just find anymore that so many take the tack that men aren't necessary. the dumbing down of men in america is disgusting to me. commercials that portray women as sooooo smart, while men are nothing but neanderthals is disturbing in the least. i think this is the one of the ugly things that feminism has given us as a society, the idea that you 'sell your soul' as a woman if you marry and actually enjoy being with your partner!! that if you find ways to compromise, you're selling out...it's crazy. tony and i hear a lot from other people that they wish they could have what we have--it's not quite as hard as some seem to think it is. find a decent person to start off with--not someone you have to fix or change! cause believe me, you can't change anyone.

hope you don't think i was attacking you with my response, it's one of my pet peeves...

See, I'm a little bit sore at men right now because I just got out of a really bad relationship. A horrible relationship, and I was engaged. I thought I could change someone, and you are so right when you said that you can't.

I am going to take some time off before I get seriously involved with anyone (even though I seriously like this new guy) because I don't want to take the frustrations of my last relationship out on the next one. It's fun being single anyway, and I'm only 21. After a while, I know that I am going to want to get back into a serious relationship with someone though. Don't get me wrong with my previous post, I'm a very romantic and passionate person, and I believe in true love 110%.

You're very lucky to have that kind of love. I hope that each and every single one of us are able to find it one day.

Imagine if a man said that all he needed from a woman was sex and for her to have a child for him!?!?

Societies thoughts and "progress" regarding marriage, relationships, etc...are completely and utterly F*CKED UP..

women want to have equal pay and jobs as men but maintain the majority of clerical, nursing, and other predominating majority female positions, so this leaves modern man either unemployed or competing for the "feminine"-type clerical positions...hence the death of the alpha male, and the need for viagra
you think back in the day the guys had any troble getting it up?
of course they didn't, because they were in control
or at least the women let them think they were
now the control has shifted and we've become flacid in the process
it's sort of like messing with the eco-system
if you break down the food chain, bad things will happen!

Bellamy,
Until the 70's, women were confined as to career choices. It was teacher, nurse, secretary, or homemaker. Watch a rerun of "Ozzie and Harriet".
Times have changed (thankfully). Modern men have no problem at all with seeing women become successful in other areas that they wish to explore now-a-days. The women bring a lot to the table.
And Kev, somethings DO take a while to sort out. Women talk more about the things that "bug" them then we males do. Let 'em vent. It's really ok.
My parting thought is that we all just need to respect and appreciate each other. In that way we bring out each other's strengths.

See I want all is a woman who makes more money than me and takes care of me....Oh yeah, and for love.

but my point is there is a big job pie
if women remain dominate in the: teacher, nurse, secretary, or homemaker poisitions
which they still do
and then want half of the "professional" positions
it's phasing out men~too much of the pie is gone
and phasing MEN into the: teacher, nurse, secretary, or homemaker poisitions themselves
women ARE smart, but have no place
in the work place!
unless it is sewing, cooking & cleaning, typing, or homemaking
and then there's always prostitution & stripping
which men also have a hard time breaking into
due to sterotypical people like Jessica
in essence, MEN are being shamefully exploited by women
not the other way around

Bellamy,
You and I disagree. I'm not threatened by women at all. Men either.
What I said was that all people should have the opportunity to pursue their interests, find their success where they will.
It all starts at a point where we stop arguing with each other and begin to respect each other.
Confining people to employment based on gender is not the way, and the Supreme court has already adjudicated this matter. See "equal opportunity" on google.
Let's allow all people to follow their dreams, make their career choices, and contribute to the best of their ability...despite their gender.
Am I getting through to you?

no, because the man is head of household, is expected for maintain the household, and if the household fails is expected to pay alimony
the whole problem is the supreme court ruling
and will continue to put unqualified people in places where qualifications are needed and eventually destroy the socio-economic fabric of America
