Why does Todd keep running her in these spots? Obviously he must think a lot of her . Or is he a joker too? Do you think Manny Franco diving to the dead rail gave her any chance at all ? Songbird ran faster as a 2 year old than she has at 3 and is ripe for the picking off the layoff and cross country trip. Maybe when she gets looked in the eye by that big headed filly she gets a little nervous. Hosses are people too you know.

The fact that her speed figures were higher as a 2 year old means we havent even seen the best of her yet. All we saw this year were paid workouts.

Probably a lot closer to the truth than my take on the situation. But.....maybe that's as fast as she can go and just looks like she is doing it easily. If pletcher is smart he will be outside that filly the whole trip and with a little help from carina Mia we'll see how good she is

Whats going on with Nyquist? Last listed work 7-24...If he still comes back I'm not going to write him off as an x-factor. Last 2 races in the slop. I want to see him on a dry track again.
