Interesting thing about the Akin resignation, he has to do it by end of business Tuesday or he's still on the ballot no matter what.

Akin represents most of the current GOP thinking. Remember the entire GOP, lead by Paul Ryan, tried to redefine "rape" into "forceable rape" just last year.

You know, it's not rape unless she has the crap beat out of her at the same time.

Crazy, idiotic douchebags, these pretend "men". Every one of them needs to get the hell out of our women's sex lives and personal healthcare. They are like Ayatollahs trying to force their religious views on their fellow Americans.

That is why I said today.

The bill isn't exactly worded like that.

Ah, yes, House Bill 3 - because the most important thing that new 2010 House had to do wasn't jobs, wasn't the economy, it was trying to dictate what rape is "real" and what rape is, you know, "she was probably asking for it".

What a massive, utter fail this elected House has been. A historical failure.

The thought that, in 2012, male American elected officials - in an alleged democratic republic - are actively trying to legislate, to dictate American women's reproductive lives and control their procreation is completely astounding to me.

That people - voters - support them is even more astounding.

Not really what is written in there, just says I don't need to pay for it.

No. There has already long been a federal act that no taxpayer dollars are used for abortion. They never have been, never will.

House Bill 3 was a deliberate attempt to infringe further upon American women's rights, based upon the religious views and zealotry of a few elected officials.

Over 40 bills have been passed in this current House regarding women's rights to procreation, trying to curtail them. Americans in certain Congressional districts elected a bunch of theocratic autocratic dictators to our House of Representatives.

That's absurd, and un-American, and I can't believe people try to justify this appalling assault on our American freedom and rights.

Reminder: Adkins has to get off the ticket by end of business Tuesday, or his name is still listed on the ballot no matter what (even if he bails out later).

He was double digits ahead of the Democrat before he said this.

This is exactly why current Dem Senator Clare McCaskill used her superPac money to run ads in favor of this guy getting the GOP nomination in the primary.

Clever, that woman - knew she'd be running against a loon if he won the primary. He won, he's revealed himself as crazy, and now the GOP is seeing their chance of winning that senate seat fading away.

So I guess this means that Akin won't be speaking at the GOP convention in Tampa next week?

LOL :D

Adkin has doubled down and said he will not pull out of the race.

I'm waiting to see if the GOP can force him to change his mind tomorrow via some coercion.
Edit: Mondy night, the RNC has pulled all funding from Akin for his senate race

But, if the GOP does get him off the ballot, they can't just put anybody else on. Maybe, legally, the second-place finisher in the GOP primary, if they can get Adkin to drop out before close of business tomorrow? Not sure about that, but must be true. Because otherwise they would be left with an empty slot next to "Republican for Senate" on the ballot.

Thepaindispenser 08-20-2012 09:39 PM

The Republicans are getting rid of him just like the Democrats did when Barney Frank's prostitute boyfriend was running a whore house out of Frank's home, oh wait a minute.....

You know if someone gay touches you, it rubs off!

Thepaindispenser 08-20-2012 09:51 PM

What is the implication Riot? I am for gay marriage, unlike you, I form my own opinions. I have yet to see you disagree with one policy of Obama's and you defend him against every criticismon this board. Did you suddenly evolve on gay marriage when Obama did? What a coincidence!!!

That, based upon your nasty comment about Barney Frank, you are a bigoted gay hater.

Honu 08-20-2012 10:19 PM

I wish Barney Frank wasn't gay he makes the rest of us homo's seem like jackwagons.

Not to people that don't judge people by silliness like, "Oh, Barney Frank is gay and I can't stand him, and that other entirely different person is gay, so the other entirely different person must be as bad as Barney Frank"

Because, you know, that's the very definition of bigotry. Just sayin' ;)

"Oh, Barney Frank is Methodist and I can't stand him, and that other entirely different person is Methodist, so the other entirely different person must be as bad as Barney Frank"

BTW, Barney Frank married the boyfriend a few weeks back. Because in some states, fortunately, it's legal for two people who love each other to get married.

This country is so filled with hate. Very sad. Thought we had left most of it 50 years behind. Naw. The election of Obama sure revealed it's alive, well and thriving.

Gawd, I love politics in election years, in the age of the internet!

You shouldn't. That's my point.

Thepaindispenser 08-21-2012 07:04 AM

Barney Frank's prostitute boyfriend runs a brothel out of Frank's home and Frank suffers no consequences and I am a bigoted, gay hater for telling the truth about something??? Hahahahaha, even though I am pro-gay marriage, hahahahaha. Riot it looks like you getting destroyed on this board is taking a toll on your sanity, I can only imagine what will happen when Obama loses in November.

Riot you didn't answer my question from before, did you suddenly evolve on gay marriage when Obama did several months ago? Was Obama a bigoted, gay hater until he evolved?

Coach Pants 08-21-2012 07:19 AM

Only Riot would know the goings on at CNN. I guess they count her as 1000 viewers.

This whole mess is extremely convenient when you take the rose colored glasses off.

A chicken hawk Christian fundamentalist who latched onto the tea party after the fact and is a contradiction to the core values of the ORIGINAL party. AND he has until this afternoon to quit. I mean Hollywood couldn't make s.hit like this up.

F.uck you, liberal useless media. And **** you RINO scumbags and militant liberals who have infiltrated this party and bunched every tea party member into the same group as Al Qaeda.

And fu.ck every American who doesn't see through it. May you all be put in FEMA camps with the rest of us, you ignorant scum.
