Exactly. If Emcee is going to lose this race, it's likely not going to be because he was unable to get the lead.

One of my concerns with Emcee is that he's obviously fragile, and the thought that he was given a freshening is idiotic, because he had works between his last race and now then was stopped on. Thus, you have two favorites who admittedly did not bounce out of their last races well.

Lost amid the Belmont day races was the quality of the race Justin Phillip ran in the True North. The Monmouth race he came back in is a throwout in my opinion, and his 3rd place finish in the King's Bishop over this track was very strong. He's the other horse to me in a race with only 3 potential win candidates.

i guess i'm reading too much into his previous race where he didn't break well.

Considering he spotted a field full of Grade 1 winners 5 lengths at the start and was 4-wide on the turn, I don't think that was a terrible effort.

Hopefully by the Breeders Cup Kiaran will take that human anchor Garcia off and put Dominguez on Emcee. He ran too good to lose.

Congrats to anyone who had the winner.

The only thing I can say for my picks today is that they've been pretty consistent. :wf

He truly sucks. He'll be at Penn National once the McLaughlin gravy train dries up completely.

He ran great today....
Hate to admit it, but Garcia is not the anchor. Its me. I'm as cold as I have ever been. You guys are all right, mush.

Forego Could Be Next for Poseidon's Warrior. What an upset winner!!

IMO, Shackelford broke slowly and it took his a-game out big time. not johnny v's fault. i was more disappointed at joel rosario in the way he rode hamazing destiny. should've stuck on the outside and not change positions in the stretch maybe it would've hit the top 3 or better yet win the race.
