I'm kind of happy he didn't come because perhaps the owner will realize that he needs one guy to call the shots and that top coaches aren't going to be comfortable with the current situation. Ireland needs to either be the boss or be replaced.

He is a tool. Needs to hire someone to run the ship and shut up and write checks and go hang out with his "celeb" friends in the owners box

Joe Philbin? Really Chuck? I'll admit that I don't know much about the guy, but I really can't believe that they didn't get a "name guy" for the job. I just feel that unless Philbin kills it in his first season, that crazy owner will just go after the shiniest penny after the end of next season.

Good for Philbin...tragic month for his family but something positive can't hurt.

I'm happy that they didnt go for the "name" guy just for popularity sake. I don't know that anyone can really tell if a guy is going to be a good or bad coach when they have no track record. Losing Nolan as Def coordinator might actually be the bigger coaching move though he obviously wants another shot at being a HC and knows it wont happen in Miami.

With the Dolphins D and now someone with his offensive background Dolphins fans should be more than happy. Why take a retread?

Hasn't Mike McCarthy been calling the plays all along for Green Bay? Good for Philbin and as Bob says they needed a positive, but this hire seemed like a stretch at best.
