yes the Euros were having a great day, brought over some nice horses too for the Classic, and not to say they are anti-American, but right after 9/11, and in NY, to so see Tiznow step up and "win one for America", just a great moment!

Glad you made it over..... :)

(The JCGC always depresses me..... last race for The Cliff's Edge but yeah, nice that he won).

I was at the finish line on Whitney Day and that race with Invasor and Sun King battleing nose for nose was one of the most exciting races I have ever seen live.

Concern's Classic win. I can't remember who he beat or anything. Just remember that little Broad Brush son running his heart out and catching them. "always a bridesmaid and never the bride" Well he was the bride that day!

1984 at Fairplex Park a little maiden allowance first time starter named "Paba". She was a 2yo that drew the 1 hole and went wire to wire with Kenny Black aboard. That was the first race horse we ever owned and our first starter. She payed $17.20

My most special race was the last race on the Turfway card on Sept 25th 1996. That was the last race I ever got to see with my father. He passed away the very next day.

daylami's BC turf in 1999...just the first one that popped into my head.

1978 Marlboro Cup: The elder statesman Seattle Slew put the young phenomenon Affirmed in his place. Fittingly, the old warrior Forego was paraded for the crowd before he officially retired that day.

Cigar's 1995 BCC. When I'm blue, I love to watch the little clip of it on the NTRA archives. Listening to the call always gives me chills.

My personal fave was Sunday Silence and EASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSY Goer's derby. I wanted Easy Goer to win SO BAD, but it was an exciting race for sure.
