i've heard a lot of talk about flynn-he's on several peoples' radar, and is a free agent after this year. he's a better qb than some starters out there.

Why not just start Pryor, he is eligible now and has worked out with the team.

As far as Flynn goes, I could think of a handful of other guys with expierence that would have come cheap and been a better alternative then Flynn. Guys like, David Carr, Charlie Whitehurst, Derek Anderson, Shaun Hill, John Kitna. |

I would trade Vince Young for an Undrafted Free Agent pick

too bad we've still sucked since he left. |
they should called Vinny Testaverde for one more shot at glory

Palmer could still have something left...at least he won't have to deal with a pair of self-centered, over-rated WR's.

raiders paid too much for palmer, who is probably thrilled. poor campbell, guy can't catch a break. probably his best year, and now he's out for at least 6 weeks. |

insanity-doing the same thing expecting a different result. |

I think people are overreacting about this trade. Think about it for a second. We are talking about the Raiders number 1 picks that are now Bengals number 1 picks. Based on the recent draft history of both teams they will pretty much be wasted regardless of who makes the selections.

What is a starting QB worth in the NFL? What is a starting QB worth to a potential playoff team in the NFL? What is a 31 year old former all pro starting QB worth to a franchise that hasn't been to the playoffs in nearly 10 years?
Time will tell if this was a good trade for either team. For cincy, it was a no brainer. For the raiders, making the playoffs would make it seem worth it to me. |
