Stay Thirsty has more of a chance to win the Derby than Master of Hounds. I'd love to see Borel on Master of Hounds.

I took a wild stab in the first pool on Stay Thirsty. I would love to see him pull out some magic but right now I feel I'm better off feeding him my ticket. Pletcher has a meeting with Repole and doesnt take on the only rider to ever win the Derby for him who is available? Is Stay Thirsty that good that Dominguez begged not to take him off? Doubt it. Either Stay Thirsty didnt impress him during the work that he rather hope for another opening or Stay Thirsty is hanging around just to be a scratch some time before the Derby if Uncle Mo is ready to go.

Doesn't the Wood winner flatter Stay thirtsy just enough to not be a total toss against this group? Have not heard anything that his last works were horrific.

You are right, I don't know everything. But, I am pretty damn certain that the choice was Pletcher's and Repole's, not Borel's. The notion that Borel would opt off when he doesn't have another mount in the Derby is comical.

The answer to your question as to why Pletcher/Repole would choose Dominguez over Borel is that Dominguez is a better rider regardless of whether Borel has won Pletcher's only Derby.

Oh good an opinion this time instead of bad comedy. Dominguez statistically might be better all around but those numbers might be different at Churchill. All of this moot we're not talking about who gets to ride Secretariat.

Bad comedy? I'm not the one holding a future ticket on Stay Thirsty.

Borel worked him as a favor. I don't think Dominguez was ever not going to ride him.

It sucks, because with Borel on he would have been an even bigger underlay than he already is going to be. But, I'm with NTamm in hoping he rides Master of Hounds, because he's another that is going to be overbet and with Borel on he'll be an incredible underlay.

On another board they are saying Borel will be on Anthonys Cross, for whatever it's worth.

Probably means 15 points on his odds. Easy

Churchill is staying with $1.00 minimum on superfectas on Oaks-Derby days.

50 cent trifectas, which makes what I consider the best Derby bet, a 5 horse tri box, only $30, which is well within reach of everyday fans.

The only thing I don't like is the .50 cent pk 3. I think that waters it down too much.

TTs is saying that Borel might ride Watch Me Go.

Looks like we will get a massive underlay after all.
