:D Few quotes? Former? You didn't even read the article? Or you are purposely ignoring half of it? You're ignoring the quotes from Sen. Lugar, the current ranking Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee? Let's read that again:

Quote:

In particular, Lugar, the ranking GOP member on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has blasted his own party for relentlessly blocking ratification of the New START nuclear arms treaty with Russia, calling on his fellow GOP senators to “do your duty for your country” and complete the pact.
My assessment is based upon the factual performance of the Republican party over the past two years - the repeated, unending blocking of routine business with filibuster, blocking motion after motion, blocking debate, the complete failure to compromise in the least. It's no secret. You can read it on the Senate website.

Unless you want to pretend it's all a false creation of a "liberal" website.

Of course you refuse to acknowledge that the Democrats now will have that same role in another thread.
No I didn't. I said that when the Democrats have completely obstructed as the GOP has done, let us know. The GOP has a written record we can judge against. Go read it on the Senate website - every single vote and filibuster is there.

The minority leader Mitch McConnell just publically said the whole purpose of the GOP is to prevent Obama from gaining re-election. Funny stance, a strictly political one, considering they were just elected on jobs and the economy.

Quote:

Oh wait it is justified when the Democrats say they will block compromise between the President and the GOP...
No. The GOP has actually obstructed Senate business, including the passage of routine business, repeatedly and severely. And see Mitch McConnell, above.

You keep misquoting Pelosi and the Dems purposely in spite of being called on it several times. All that came out of one meeting - via an attendee - was that Pelosi is going to serve as counterpoint to the President to keep him from going too far right with the GOP, and referring mainly to the tax cuts. The Dems haven't shown any strength yet. Let us know if they get up the gumption to actually do something.

I find it hilarious that you are outraged over the mere possibility of the Dems saying they will stand by their guns to force the GOP to compromise with them, when the GOP has already literally broken the record by multiples for filibuster and obstruction, the list of backed-up and incompleted work is legion and thick, and you simply ignore the measurable reality of what they have done.

Quote:

I know, I know, now you will say I am making stuff up or you will toss out your favorite word "straw man" or I'm putting words in your mouth....anything to avoid the fact that your extreme bias against the GOP routinely causes you to exaggerate small or non-issues, act like quotes regardless of context are facts and distort any subject by throwing reams of crap from partisan sites at us regardless of its validity or correlation.
You did make up and exaggerate about what the Dems said they were going to try. You love changing the subject to straw men, look at this thread. You haven't discussed the subject of the Republican Senators comments about their party once, except to pretend it isn't there and call it crap from a partisan site and question it's validity! :D :tro:

Sorry - the quotes are in context, and the quotes are real, and the quotes show the problem with GOP obstruction is so serious that leadership within the party is commenting upon it and chastizing their own party for it.

Pretending it isn't so and attacking the messenger won't change that. Nice try.

What?

START is a joke. Like we really are going to ever find out what kind of a nuclear arsenal the Russians have.
