Conway could win but he's so off-putting and the schoolgirl gotcha s.hit over something that happened when Paul was in college is ridiculous. So what if Paul got stoned with some chick and made her call him an aqua buddha.

Conway acts like he never did anything embarrassing in college. What a punk b.itch.

Coach Pants 10-18-2010 01:08 AM

Here is the Aqua Buddha ad...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BCa8xw9yGY

Jack Conway - Certain behavior in college should be forbidden! And the offenders thrown in jail by a rich daddy's boy!

clyde 10-18-2010 01:16 AM

I don't like what he says nor the way he looks...especially his hair.

Coach Pants 10-18-2010 01:23 AM

He's a cat licker. Went to St. Xavier in Louisville but tries to claim he's from Union County to give him some hick cred.

clyde 10-18-2010 02:53 AM

Thanks loads...I'm having nightmares about the phony nimrod.

I'm not kidding about their appearance.Conway is far too correct;Randy looks like a guy who is more a doer than a groomer.

Conway is a stereotypical sludge machine.

Yes..I would think he makes himself to fit---real or not, whatever it takes.

When this 'loser' beats your candidate, what does that make your guy? :D

A Democrat.

I'm not sure anybody is better than the Democrats at finding ways to lose elections to complete pieces of garbage.

That's because butt chin is a bigger piece of garbage.

Honest.

The "Aqua budda" ad is silly - the other ads quoting Rand Paul directly and showing him speaking his policies, then having people, law enforcement comment on those policies are much more effective.

But it apparently hit the nerve, because Paul staged (and I do mean "staged") his huffing and puffing and insult last night at the debate (refusing to shake Conway's hand, falsely saying Conway attacked his religion, etc) and immediately at the debate end had in the can and released a TV ad attacking Conway for "attacking his religion" (not really true) - and Paul right now is still threating he might be a no-show for this next debate.

In the last 24 hours, Rand Paul has turned into a complaining, childish whiner, the poor picked upon sufferer. For a guy who says wants to talk only about the issues, he's sure pushing religion right to the forefront. I see the panicky move of a guy who thinks he's in trouble. He must have seen Conways increasing poll numbers of the past two weeks (although Conway is still about 7 down, I think)

If Paul doesn't show at this next debate, he's toast.

But all Rand Pauls crying has taken the emphasis off his extreme positions on education, drugs & criminal penalties, etc. Oh, yeah, and his homophobia. Those ads are very effective, and have been increasing Conways numbers. Good jub, Rand

Coach Pants 10-18-2010 07:47 PM

Life goes on if Rand wins. Just remember to take deep breaths when kneeling in front of your Obama shrine.

Riot 10-18-2010 08:50 PM

I'll be eagerly awaiting Rand publically signing off on his own term limit agreement before he goes to Washington :tro:

That's the understatement of American politics :D

Illinois might be a perfect example this year.

The Republican candidate for governor is a complete right-wing buffoon. He was by far the most socially conservative candidate among the four or five Republicans in the primary this spring. He is one of those guys who thinks all of society's problems come from gay people, people who believe in evolution, etc. He won the primary despite receiving a pretty low percentage of the votes because the top four guys split the votes almost evenly. He has subsequently run a completely toothless general election campaign in which he has refused to divulge his own tax history or his plan for the state budget.

How the hell could a bumbling bozo like this get elected in a state like Illinois that leans blue? Well the polls are close and he very well might win....because he's running against Pat Quinn.

The really sad thing is that I actually like Quinn a whole lot more than I like the Democrats' other candidate for major statewide office (Alexi Giannoulias) who is such a waste of time that I may end up voting for the Green Party in that election....which is what the Dems forced me to do four years ago in the governor's race because they re-nominated Blagojevich. It's freaking ridiculous.

Keep talking guys... it ain't gonna matter when that map comes up red.

:zz: The Repubs already definitively lost their likelihood of taking over the Senate, which was a given before candidates like Christine O'Donnell appeared.

Now getting the 40 or so they need to take over the House even appears to be coming up for grabs in this final two weeks. We'll see.

I'm from Illinois, and I think what's happening as Miraja describes with Quinn/Brady is true in many other states, too.

I'm not thrilled with Jack Conway, but no way in hell can I vote for an extremist.

joeydb 10-19-2010 01:19 PM

Jack Conway is a moron in the most extreme sense.

Do yourself a favor and use Nate Silvers numbers.
http://fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com/

He is easily the most accurate forecaster of political races.

The GOP was never a given to take the senate and they are a lock to take control of the house.

He runs circles around Conway. If you don't see that then you shouldn't be criticizing the intelligence of others.
