Ohio should be absorbed by Kentucky... or Canada

FTFY

Kentucky is merely a collection of Ohio residue collected by the great Ohio River and dumped south.

Kentucky's only calim to fame is being the only foreign soil on which a Canadian Spaceship has successfully landed.

He most certainly is anti-horse, anyone in the business knows this and does not have to have it explained to them. Look at his voting record and campaign contributors and you can quickly figure it out. Maybe you should stick with something you know...............photography.

I'm going strictly by the sentence in your post - "Williams for years has been at odds with members of the Kentucky horse racing industry over his opposition to alternative gaming at racetracks."

I don't see that as anti-horse which to me indicates the guy hates horses. Just feel the title of your topic was misleading.

Oh, yeah, thanks for the compliment about the photography. I really needed a lift.

AND, I'm pretty sure the seats we have are roomier and much more comfortable than anything Gary has to offer.;)

Kentucky has just announced it's frist successeful launch of a rocket ship.

Yes.

It is ,as we speak, cicrling a large cloud formation about-----oh....say 3300 feet above.

Those hillbillies will get there...sooner or later.

Pedigree Ann 09-04-2010 09:18 PM

David Williams is interested in nothing but furthering the interests of David Williams. He has used his position as his party's leader in the Senate to block, torpedo, or bury many bills that his own party has wanted, simply because he didn't get what HE wanted out of them or because Democrats introduced them. And he actively panders to the rural, religious vote (post those 10 Commandments!) while taking part in one of the very activities they abhor (gambling!).

Richie Farmer is one of 'The Unforgettables' - the four scholarship players at UK who stayed and played after Sutton got them on probation. Sticking by the team when it was in trouble won him lots of admirers. There have been a lot of Farmers who have played basketball and a fair number who have gone into politics in Eastern Kentucky. I know nothing to his detriment, other than he agreed to be on the ticket with Williams.

paisjpq 09-05-2010 09:23 AM

there is no question that Farmer is the popular side of the equation, and doesn't have much negative press at this point. Although there was an article last week regarding his wasteful spending on new vehicles for his depatment. While it was clearly an attempt to plant a negative seed just before the announcement, it also should not be taken lightly...if he isnt willing to cut costs within his own department in a very bad economy, what are his plans for the whole state when he's second in command?

I have to whizz again.
