I disagree with about half of those.

Seriously, what was so great about either Curlins preakness or RA for that matter? What was so special about the BC Classic last year, as a horse race effort that is.

Not much.

Couple from Aqueduct:

Bellamy Road's 2005 Wood Memorial
Congaree's first Cigar Mile (2002) over an accomplished field.

Since I love closers, I've got to add Street Sense in the 2007 Kentucky Derby, and Mine That Bird in the 2009 Kentucky Derby.

And then there's Kip Deville's 2007 BC Mile. I loved that horse.

Surfsides Clark.... You dont here anything about this, but she ran a 116 beyer setting ALL THE PACE, beating males handily. I think this is easily as good as any single race Zenyatta or Rachel have run.

Those weren't very good males though. I'm skeptical of that number.

Nice filly though.

I think it was unquestionably one of the best performances of the decade. A horse that ugly, and that slow, and that unsound, winning any graded stakes race with Stewart Elliot up?!?! Impressive!

What about Zarkava's Arc or Makybe Diva's 3 Melbourne Cups or even the Wood of I Want Revenge!!!

Workforce's performance in the Epsom Derby a short time ago was spectacular. That looks to be a true superstar to me.
