I was a fan of his. I would always swear to pops and gramps that he was going to get there the next time. Gramps bet him so many times that he started calling him "Strike The Sh!t"

It was a little earlier.. 1994, they purchased him after he won the Boojum over Birdonthewire, Harlan, Lite The Fuse etc..

He had won five in a row going into the Breeders Cup.. ended up being the fourth betting choice in the sprint..

Kind of ironic that his next win was the Pimlico Special given his effort in the Preakness the year before and the track's tendency to go against his one-run style.
