Certainly would not have expected to bet him, but how do you not use a little Interactif at $20?

EDIT: Dropped from 9-1 to 6-1 on the late flashes...

Improve a ton.
IMO NP trips out everytime they run, while LAL never gets the best of it and still always beats him.

Improve a ton... That's funny.

Ok maybe not on synthetics but for sure on dirt. Who tripped out today? Who had a ton of trouble? Who likely has distance limitations, and who will likely love the stretch out?

The conversation was about how close these two seem to finish. What does distance limitations and stretchout loving have to do with the races already run? And horses that are forwardly placed don't have to apologize for the 'good trips' they magically get. The Funny Cide critics loved to say how lucky he was 'getting good trips'. Right. He was 'lucky'...

Both horses ran terrific. Noble's Promise ran great yet again and got nodded at the wire. He'll win his share. McPeek is very pleased. Looking at Lucky was terrific dealing with all the challenges expected or unexpected, and Baffert is thrilled. No analysis should yield a negative opinion of one of them after that race.

The photo in the Tampa Derby cost me $2 worth of pk4. I'm still sick. The "won't pay" was $1490. It came down to single Phola (shoulda) and add Odysseus (my ticket would have been cheaper), or play against Odysseus. Hopefully I'll get over it soon. Glad you got it Steve.

Hoof..

Thanks... Feel bad that you missed out on the very nice score. It's one of those funny juxtopositions where it's financially better with Schoolyard Dreams getting the nod but rooting interests prefering Odysseus. For what it's worth, I didn't think Phola was a single in the Hillsborough, at least before the scratches tore it up. The good news is your handicapping was solid and there was nothing indefensible about playing against Odysseus a little. The next $1,500 quad goes your way!
