With all due respect Randall, I appreciate your opinion, but you know not of which you speak.

Again, the owner card as if that makes your opinion any more valid....Good enough, tell me something. If Cool N Collective weren't a gelding, would he still be racing?

The Indomitable DrugS 01-31-2010 07:42 PM

if he weren't a gelding - he'd probably be gelded.

He'd be worth about $4.24 as a stallion if he was a full horse.

I wonder if Funny Cide could still run in a 7500 tag? I hear he likes peppermints also.....fine if that's what the owners wanted....but when you can't control who takes the horse, or what plate he ends up on in Japan, I'm guessing you lose your right to be ga ga about your claimer who will always have a good home.

I don't know what intact nuts have to do with it. Sorry. The only "owner card" I have is that I know the people involved in the operation and know that your opinion, while entitled, is just that, and unfortunately void of fact.

It really sounds like it needs to be your mission in life to claim every horse in the country you feel shouldn't be on the track and give it a home. Or at least donate as much to the various thoroughbred retirement agencies to satisfy your judgments.

Herschel Walker fought in a bottom level mma claimer last night and did alright.

Rudeboyelvis 01-31-2010 07:51 PM

Or That ^^^^^^^^

Funny Cide would have been an excellent stallion prospect.

Cool and Collective would be about as hot of a stallion as East of Easy is right now.

Would he be a stallion or running at 13 with wraps and a nice win at Suffolk for 4k?

I can't imagine anyone who would accept breeding a mare to Cool N Collective for a stud fee of Free.

But who knows ... like I said ... I just saw a couple horses sired by East of Easy the other day. I think they ran at Penn or Charles Town or somewhere.

As a Canadian Bred? I'm sure he would get bred up there.

He's a $7,900 yearling purchase without much pedigree to him ... and his only career stakes win came in the Elgin Stakes.

DrugS, are there any sons of Ruhlmann standing? Anywhere? I'm not familiar with him other than I've seen a few serviceable mares by him.

By the way, I'm fine with taking heat in this thread. I don't think I called anyone a name on this thread. Laughable that being disagreed with means you are either "sanctimonious or a ****ing *******" but not shocked by that.

And the point I made has EVERYTHING to do with being an owner. No one has the right to determine when I should retire any horse that's in my barn. I pay the biils, I take the risk so that's on me, not you or anyone that smells like you.

Until such time as you risk your $$ you have no right to tell ANYONE when their horse should be retired. Simple as that.....

None that I know of.

Don't play the pity card.

Your comments are sanctimonious.

I agree with that. You missed the entire point. Which is not surprising based on your previous rant.

If that horse broke down yesterday I am guessing you would be singing a different tune....If person "A" claimed that horse for 7500 and sent him to the meat man, would the owner still feel like the good owner?

Any horse can break down at any time, whether it be a 3 yo or a 13 yo, so your garbage doesn't hold water with me. You seem to feel the need to capitalize on the horse's age as a reason it should be retired. Pretty easy for someone that has nothing invested in the game to make the call.....

You also, I assume, realize the ridiculousness of this post?
