yep he has made a lot of people rich be buying horses at prices that nobody without a rope on could or would every pay for them. A real friggin genius?

I tell you what..if I gave you 300 mil to spend on racing this year I am 1000% positive you would do a lot of good and people food lick the sand between your toes. have a heart

I think some of the drug testing is giving positives for things that aren't really cheating. I think Go-Godolphin has too much to lose and not nearly enough to gain by having doping scandals involved in their Horse Empire. I think they are pretty much on the up and up.

Sorry MMSC, but you know where I stand on someone being a fan of thus outfit. You're the one who pays a loving tribute to horses who 'died during battle' but if only you knew what went on behind closed doors.

Does it never concern you that SOOOO many horses that have gone to them have never been seen since?

I don't feel like having this fight again.

By the way I always meant to show you this but didn't think I should bump up the Godolphin / Darley fight thread on international.

Sue I'd like to know what becomes of some of them... like Omnicat but the thing is you've gotta find the positive in life. Right? I choose to look at the good they do. That's the simple answer. I don't feel like giving the long, King Glorious-esque answer today.

I'm sorry for not understanding the 2nd paragraph... maybe I'm a moron.

As far as the first? Come on... no one ever disses the sellers. It's always the evil boys in blue who buy who are crucified.

Okay, he's given his pocket money to racing charities and supported them, but in relation to the money he has and the money I have, it's no more than giving them $400-500 a year, and I guess I give around that mark to various racing charities.

What else?

I know I go on about this a lot, but because I feel strongly about it. I'm sick of seeing horses I love(d) to watch go to them and then never see them again, or don't see them for over a year.

No really, this is my last post on this thead!

Just one thing, one example... after September 11th didn't he donate $5 million to the Red Cross AND all the BC winnings to one of the 9/11 funds?

Okay now I'm done.

Sheikh Mo can be a dividing figure and for all the bad that has happened with his organisation (I long for the days in the 90s and early 00s when Godolphin was just a small band of elite horses), I think racing is in a better state with him in it than him in a different sport.

Just have a look at the fantastic race course that he pumped billions into. It would have to be recognised as the finest Sporting Arena ever built and it belongs to Horse Racing.

Like I said, it's pocket money for him.

$5million out of his thousands of billions is like what? $1-2,000 for us "common" people?

The amount of money he has given is easily outweighed by the millions and millions of dollars worth of horse talent that his racing operation have ruined since they were set up.

I can't agree more on that subject, the track looks fantastic and well done to them, but at the end of the day it's for them and it's creating more money for them. It's taking good horses away from us and giving them to them....... everything is designed for them.

They make it look like they are giving the sport plenty, but in reality they are taking it away from us faster than we can actually see.

He buys 20 mil of yearling at a sale.. He probably gave 25 mil to the families of the people who killed thousands in 9/11 felt they desired it for there heroism. Perhaps you have an opinion on his racing camels? I hear he has a new 10 year old boy that is lights out in the saddle and unfortunately lights out in the saddle. The guy is insane he spent 2 bil on a race track for 60 days a year.
