i also read in an article that they are keeping her in cali for now because of the cold in ky. that until they decide who she's going to, they're going to keep her where she's content.

kgar311 12-23-2009 08:44 AM

wow, this post really had a feel good aspect at the beginning. I was actually really excited about the prospect of her coming back and racing. Then the Zenyatta C**T lickers come trolling in about shes the greatest horse in the world, RA couldnt sniff her a ss, with no proof whats so ever that Zen is the superior horse. I hope they both come back in the Donn and Rachel blows her away so we dont have to hear nonsense come out of the Zen supporters mouths again.:wf

Sightseek 12-23-2009 08:48 AM

With Vodka targeting the DWC, it would be completely awesome if Zenyatta went too!

Smooth Operator 12-23-2009 09:39 AM

Z is the greatest horse in the world … clearly superior to RA.

Heck, RA couldn't sniff her butt

They may as well keep her retired, though

Even if they sent her down south to race … RA would just duck her … again…

So Rachel Alexandra is now at most the 3rd best female in the country in your opinion?

RA = best 3yo filly in country.
RA = best female up to 7 1/2 f.
RA = behind Goldikova, Ventura, 1mi - 1 1/16 on any surface.
RA = behind Z, LIS, at 1 1/8 - 1 1/4.
RA = 1 1/4 and farther, should compete in optional claimers (not within her scope - same as Z couldn't beat $5k QH claimers at 220 yards - not within her scope).

:zz: .. not sure how you can come to this conclusion.

Same way I came up with RA=best 3yo filly --- pure conjecture - where I would put my $$$$$$

I think you'd be startled by the outcome of a Rachel-Life Is Sweet 10 furlong race at Belmont.

Can Life Is Sweet even be effective on dirt?

Sure, just not as effective.

This -- :zz: -- is about 17 times too subtle for how this analysis just made me feel.

Ps, In 2008, I thought La Tee was the best female sprinter in the country between 5.6 and 5.8 furlongs.

She might have beaten Indian Blessing at 5.6f - but I highly doubt she'd have had a chance against her at 5.7f.... and NO WAY IN HELL does she beat IB at 5.8 furlongs.

Brian, tell me you knew!

I disagree totally. I think IB would have been a lock at 5.6f and 5.8f, but there is no way in ****** hell that IB beats La Tee going 5.7f.

La Tee had one of the greatest spurts of acceleration I've ever seen between the 5.6 and 5.7 markers.

I sure as hell would be if I owned her....Then she could still get in foal this april or, they could take a chance and get her in foal before the race. (unlikely)

Zenyatta's career earnings right now are just under $5.5 million. I believe a win in the Dubai World Cup would move her past Curlin as the all-time money earner. This would enhance her legacy even further. Also, if the Mosses feel any competitive rivalry with Jess Jackson, surpassing Curlin's earnings mark might mean something.

chucklestheclown 12-24-2009 12:31 AM

Zenyatta will not race again, ever. But kudos to the connections on the AP award.
