I thought E Z Dreamer ran a real big race in the Phoenix on Friday, especially in light of the fact that he was stepping up in class and had limited experience on synthetics. E Z Dreamer was pinned down inside, and Fatal Bullet was doing a pretty good job laying on him through the stretch. IMO, if their posts had been reversed, the result may have very well been reversed.

I just watched the replay, agree that E Z Dreamer ran a really good race, but the one thing that struck me when watching Dasilva ride FB was the word "prep". Dasilva left something in the tank for SA and quite honestly I think this race was more impressive on second viewing than when I first saw it. FB did it on his own courage and I would expect him to run a bigger race at SA, I'm not sure where the value will be but I don't think either Gayago or Zensational at what might be underlaid odds will be great bets with what they might have to face, based on his race last yr if he didn't run into freak like M Lute, he would be running for back to back titles.

You make it sound like the rider was standing in the saddle hand-riding. FB was in a drive just like every other horse in the race. He should be more fit 2nd off the layoff and obviously is OK with Santa Anita, those are reasons to bet him, not because he didn't have a lot taken out of him in his prep.

From what I saw it isn't likely a race where a regression is more likely rather than progression, the jock shook the reins inside 100 yards of the finish line where C Candyman couldn't make up the necessary difference. It was a very useful race in my opinion, but he certainly wasn't ridden to death to win it.

Didn't think he was "dead" but wasn't sure he was going to make it either. The horse didn't appear to hit high gear until inside the 1/16 pole. He on in a hand ride.

Didn't he lose to Pomona Derby winner Quindici Man at Santa Anita?

I can't believe anyone thought Gayego was beat turning for home. All he needed was a clear path and it looked pretty certain he'd find it. He was rolling and wasnt even being asked. Nice horse and a wonderful thing they discovered hes a sprinter after all this time.

People actually think that race makes him a Sprint contender?

Stan James is listing Zensational at 11-8......I want no part of a speedball at that low a price on the plastic. At least Gayego's running style fits the track.

I saw even money on Z at a few places.
