Dictina's Boy came home an easy 7 1/4 length winner. It came as a bit of a surprise, since he has never really gone well on soft ground. Despite what the chart says, it was definately on the softish-side of good. His jumping was excellent and Xavier Aixpuru gave him a fantastic ride.

Otherwise, attendence was a little off (35,000), but the worst part of the day was the NJ Racing Commission putting the kibosh on wagering via simulcast/AWDs. It is something that the NSA is going to have to workout for the future. This was an excellent card to bet with a lot of non-preferred horses winning, including ours. I'm sure we would have been in double-digits, which would have made our day a little more profitable.

Tom,

Congratulation to you, Sean and everyone connected to Dictina's Boy... Hope you had a chance to listen to Voss today. Was another great honor and pleasure for me to have on ATR. Sounds like there's lots of good things in store for you with this gelding!

Sightseek, Charles and Steve; many thanks on what was a fantastic day.

Steve, I am very grateful for your coverage of steeplechasing in this forum and on your show. Additionally, Mr. Raffetto, who you have featured many times, has done an exceptional job trying (and succeeding in some areas) to bring steeplechasing to the mainstream racing community.

Regretfully, I normally don't enjoy the opportunity to listen to the show, but try to catch up listening to the archives. Consequently, I didn't hear your chat with Tom, but look forward to listening to it once its posted.

Tom's a great horseman and I am fortunate to be in partnership with Sean. They've made all the right moves. Dictina's Boy is such an intelligent and professional racehorse. You see him run and know that he really enjoys his racing. He's given us a tremendous amount of excitment and joy; and gives us cause for great optimism.
