Does the bounce apply to baseball. Big effort from Kershaw followed up by a bad one. They should have given him more time off between starts. Larry Jones probably would have trained him up to the playoffs.

I wonder if anyone has ever done any research on that, seriously. A lot of work has been done with pitch counts and the negative effects but I dont recall ever hearing about big efforts with normal pitch counts.

Dodgers suck when they go to Houston. That's the biggest factor. St. Louis n' Houston are Dodger graveyards.

Watching Andre Ethier play all the time is amazing. Overall, he has some of the best at bats you'll ever see. He can fall behind 0-2, and then the guy puts on a show. Takes anything out of the strike zone, and fouls off the good pitches that are strikes. Finally, he will usually get a walk, or a pitch he can drive somewhere. Of course, Manny just knocks the good pitches into the outfield. Loney is not quite as good at the plate as Ethier, but he's pretty good. The rest pretty much need the pitcher to make mistakes. Ethier is a lot better player than he showed in the post last year. Hopefully, he can handle it better the next chance he gets. Furcal threw a guy out at the plate tonite with an absolute strike from shallow center. Needs to hit better though(seems to need home cooking.) Swinging way too hard.

So, Cannon, any predictions on which Kershaw will show up tonite? BTW, BLOND STICK FIGURE named Weaver came from out of the past last night to save us when Big Brotha had to leave in the 2nd inning (HEADCASE SEVERE.) Weaver actually had some great movement on his stuff. What was it 2 1/2 years ago he was pitching St. Louis to a ring? Now he come up from Albuquerque to give us a 3 1/2 game lead(instead of 1 1/2. Would seem like somebody with skillz could look at videos, and figure out what this guy needs to do to stay in the bigs. Maybe he wears down, but I think it's mechanics.
