Even with anticipated scratch of Indyanne, the pace of this affair appears hotter than a typical seven-eighths event. Stalkers/Closers should have the set up they look for. While Indian Blessing is surely the horse to beat after brilliant managed campaign, Ventura and Zaftig are coming up to this on pitch and should make this one of the weekend's most exciting races.

Most Likely: #5 Indian Blessing 2-1: Not a bet-against but no lock either..
Best Value: #12 Ventura 5-1: Handled like '00 Sprint runner-up Honest Lady..
Next Best: #6 Zaftig 8-1: Huge upset chance if close to Acorn form..
Super Add: #3 Intangaroo 9-2: Low figs deceptive; Serious horse best at 7 panels..
Deep Exotics: #8 Tiz Elemental (20-1); #10 Miraculous Miss (20-1)
..

very nice, you like?

I hope the go crazy up front in this one

Today's Racing Digest longshot pick- not sure if you are familiar with the Digest, but VLR plots right there off the Woodbine Race 10/5.

Catalano was talking about not being able to take a swing w/o a bat in your hand on Steve's show yesterday. :zz: :zz: :zz:

So, Steve, you think the C.S. Silk filly is one turn?

Scuds.. Not at all. I was trying to get in her in the plays myself and did so on some revisions tonight. She looks incredible physically. Many astute judges of horseflesh are impressed with her.

Saw Wayne today again and asked about the Coa-Douglas thing. Coa is Calabrese's favorite in Florida and he had a spat recently with Douglas and turned these mounts over to Eibar because of it.

Hits ground a lil hard. They had a 2 year old filly like this (impressive Arlington 1 turn mile winner) coming into the 2005 B.C. Didn't do anything. Doesn't seem like that particular trip (Arlington 1 turn) is a good way to set up a 2 turn B.C. win. We'll see. Seeing how it's been the favorite winning this so often, I don't think it's crazy to just take S BOUND and/or S DIVA.

Steve, what do the judges think of Evita Argentina. I think she is going to be a great price and has already beaten SB.

Wheres the Euros?

Steve I don't see a lot of euros in your picks(you closet eurofite);) after our talk on monday i have taken a much closer look at them and I think that Goldikiva is the most likly to win on saturday and would of been a lock on friday.
Luv the show no matter what the diffrence in opinions are "cause that's what makes a horse race
God luck and may all your winners be 9-1 or better
Tom from San Diego:tro:

Also nice invoking of the deity

Too hot a couple miles north of HWD PARK. I can only imagine how hot it is over in that valley. I know one thing. Unless you punch holes in your grass, it's not holding water. Hot n' dry. Turf should be very fast.

SniperSB23 10-24-2008 12:40 AM

What's the knock on La Tee? She seems perfect for deep exotics.

westcoastinvader 10-24-2008 01:15 AM

I'll have $100 on Bold Chieftain to show, and $200 on Curlin to win.

I'll also have a few beers while at Santa Anita.

I'll probably just waste the rest of my bets.....

:-)

Most Likely: #11 Saucey Evening 9-2: Should work out necessary trip..
Next Best: #7 Consequence 8-1: Outfit never runs girls that can't compete..
Super Add: #2 Laragh 7-2: With one below her, appears solid enough..
Deep Exotics: #4 C Karma 8-1: Why is she twice the price of Laragh?

I know lone speed on the turf is often overrated, but I'm a little shocked that you don't think more of her in this spot. I think she wires them here, and is probably my top pick of the day.
