Broxton - maybe - since he's arbitration elgible, but I doubt it.

What are you gunna do in the post? Huh? We are never gunna give her the ball again in a playoff game. You can forget about that happening. I guarantee you somebody will do whatever it takes to make sure she never pitches in another playoff game here. There is no way.

There is about a zero percent chance either of them isnt pitching in dodger Blue next year. get your dress out Scuds...

Wait n' see. This is waste from our abortion, and we aren't gunna keep it around to remind us what fun she let the Phils have. If they try to pitch her here again, I think she will end up in an accident of sorts(just a guess.) You must really think we are weak. To let her pitch here again? 2 abortions in one week, and 3 in a month?

Well Volquez wasn't as good in the 2nd half. E.R.A. drifted up to be about the same as Billygoat's. Cincy is cheap. What would we have to give them to get Volquez? Kemp is a huge choker in the clutch. Will that ever change? I don't know. Everybody loves him, but he needs bad pitching, or he can't do a thing. Obviously, he piles on well against bad pitchers(especially at home.) I've watched him his whole career, and Ethier is a better hitter against tough pitching. See, that's another thing that hurt us in this series. Ethier didn't hit Philly like he did when we beat Philly 4 games in a row here. That could change. Ethier could do a lot better in the post next time. Kemp I doubt it. Billygoat will continue to choke in the post. Broxton will be inconsistent in the post, and any other time. They have to dump the Billygoat. Broxton and Kemp should be available if the price is right. For some reason people are in love with Kemp. I have never seen anyone easier to get out with junk pitches. He is a good athlete, but not a great hitter. He is still just a good hitter if he gets bad pitches. He covers good ground in the field, and can throw people out at the plate. He puts people in the seats, but not wins in the record. I don't see him as being a difference maker. He is fun to watch, but he doesn't hit anything good thrown to him. Can we get Volquez for Kemp, or Billygoat?

You would need to give Kemp and Billygoat for Volquez

Would do it if could get Kemp n' Billygoat to a team in the American League(3 team trade.) We get Volquez.

Crown@club 10-17-2008 10:13 AM

On a side note. LA looking to trade Juan Pierre. Yea! Good luck with that.

Getting Volquez - How about no chance in he!!

We got a chance if Kemp is involved. For some reason they think that guy is gunna be a superstar, and I have no clue why. They would probably do it for Kemp and Billygoat. Volquez n' Billygoats regular season stats were close. Volquez had more walks. I don't know how anybody could, but says he did. The Reds would do it, but Dodgers are too stupid to do it. They think Kemp is gunna wake up and be impactful(not!!.)

SCUDSBROTHER 10-17-2008 10:51 AM

Billygoat is perfect for the Reds. He is from Ohio. They aren't going to the post. So, Billygoat can relax, and win 20 games with barely anyone watching. I wouldn't be surprised if he wins 20 games for a non-contender. That's the woman's niche.

Reds will never do it, and according to LA, Kemp is untouchable.

You are sounding like those Yankees fans who use to think a couple of years ago, that they could get Pujols and Carpenter from the Cardinals.

Yeah..un fukn be lievable how that guy is untouchable. He never hits a good pitch. One of the worst guys ever when the pressure is on. Just be swinging at empty space. He can do everything but hit a decent pitch. I fail to see the immense value. He is fun to watch against bad pitching. Other than that, the guy is not much fun to watch. The problem is he has improved his eye at the plate. He swings at fewer pitches that he used to miss by 2 feet. SO, THEY THINK HE WILL START HITTING GOOD BREAKING BALLS N' SLIDERS. HE CAN'T DO THAT. Ethier can do that. Ethier is the one who will get better n' better. He's the one who could take over a playoff series if he gets more comfortable. We took 4 at home against Philly, because Ethier was in a zone. He has to get more consistent, and comfortable. He has the potential. I don't see the potential for Kemp to hit good junk pitches.

Well, they are gunna be forced to get rid of Billygoat. They can act like hopeful children, but adults know a choker has to be gotten rid of. It's gunna get ugly here if they don't get rid of him. Media likes to portray Dodger fans as being a bunch of Hollywood types. They never show the hardcore fans out in the bleachers. 60 % of the Dodger fans are Latins that are paying a significant amount of their income to afford those games. This is a big deal to them, and if they bring back Billygoat he will be booed every game. We know we have no shot in the post with him unless it's a game he has zero pressure in(like the Chicago game was ....house money situation.)

Crown@club 10-17-2008 11:47 AM

But you don't need Pierre back at full time starting, even if you can't resign Furcal. Besides his proneness to injury, I think LA needs to take care of him first before Manny.

Furcal is the glue for this team, but if these vultures want obscene money, then we can't do it. I want him back. He is incredibly fun to watch all the time. The drag bunts etc. Look at the bunt over the 3rd baseman's head the other night. How many people have the confidence to pull that off? Honestly, I think he is hurt. I never saw him miss throws like that. I don't think it was just emotions. The guy is the type that won't admit he is hurt until he has to. That deep throw from the hole between short n' 3rd was the best example. This guy has got an absolute gun, but he couldn't throw it without a bounce. He used to make that play easily(believe it or not.) Something isn't right with his throwing. Has to be because of an injury. It's a tough decision, because I know they are gunna want a lot of money.

He may not still be right from back surgery. Interesting that rehab was extended from the original time table.

Furcal makes a lot of sense for the White Sox if they dont resign Cabrera

I don't know...Ramirez' natural position is SS and it's easier to plug in a second baseman until their #1 Draft Pick SS is ready and then move Alexi back to second.

Third base is still a real issue. Fields can't field, Uribe is too streaky to be every day, although his glove is solid.

He and Ramirez would make a great combo up the middle. Though you are right in that 3b is a problem for them. Uribe doesnt hit enough to be a SS let alone a corner IF.
A nice 3 year deal would give them time to let the young guy develop.
