I totally agree. He would have won the turf race that was entered yesterday too... if it would have been off.

They have to be off today, it rained pretty good this morning.....

not off yet. All the rain last night missed AP and me. line of storms split and went north/south of me. The rain today (at least by me) is all soaked in the ground and in places, can't even tell it rained earlier. If it doesn't rain anymore before those turf races, I'd think it'll be yielding and keep them on.

While I see where you're going with this line of reasoning, it's not like Mott has exactly been a livewire so far. Mott has been sending out, up to this point, a fair number of horses who were tosses not thanks to Geroux, but thanks to the fact that they weren't good enough in the spot they were in. Geroux didn't cause the vast majority of Mott's lack of success early in the meet, not by a longshot.

I'd be willing to wager that for as awful as he's being made to seem here, that you wouldn't need more than one hand to count his "bad" rides this meet, which is as many hands as you'd need for any run-of-the-mill Laviolette Saturday.

Speaking of which, what has happened to Tony Farina, now that the only trainer who would put him up on decent horses is off the track? His pictures of Biancone with an owner's wife (the only reason I can think of for him being the go-to jock for a major stable) don't have the value they used to.

watch his ride in the 9th. He was dead last going into the first turn, with only one horse within about 3-4 lengths of him.... and had to pull up??? That's horrible. If they're 3-4 wide in front of you and you get caught and have to pull up, that's one thing... but with only 1 horse even within range, having to pull up is awful.

That ride WOULD make Shane look good, which is not easy to do.

I wasn't even there, but I heard it was one for the ages in terms of rides.

I got invited to be a fill in for 12" softball, nothing like baseball. Although I held my own, not sure if I really feel these 24 to 20 games....

geroux will be riding for catalano and slomkowski and become a 50% rider just like the 94 yo earlie fires has
