As hard as it is to believe, I think you just outdid yourself.

A Cowboy Cal Derby win would make me a lock to win the national Road to the Roses derby contest thing .... thanks for taking the 0.00015% chance of a CC Derby win and making it 0.00%

I'm as big a fan of his as any, but even I realize he has absolutely NO shot to win the Derby. It's quite obvious there is NO way that he gets the distance. He could be a nice miler on the weeds though. Wrong surface and wrong distance. If Pletcher's gun was loaded for the derby, I'm sure he'd opt out of it for CC and find a more suitable race.

I don't know if Cowboy Cal can't be a dirt horse.

His dam is a Seeking The Gold half to Behrens... and he's very closely related to Commentator.

As bad as he ran in his debut - he did have a tough trip and it did have the look of a non-effort through the stretch.

I just don't think he projects well at all from a pace standpoint - and the 10f distance is a little much.

LMAO...Although I am keeping mine deep down in my wallet, just incase the other 18 or 19 horses hit some plywood.

For a minute I thought the Cav's tailgate website you have in your signature was run by the legendary bar I worked at in Philly... Cavanaughs in UC.

Not the same one, but I've been there many times as well. 39th and Chestnut or Sansom, right? Frequented it when my brother went to Drexel and lived on the cusp on West Philly. (44th st.) Great place to throw some back and watch the games...

What happened to Court Vision? Please clear this up since we need to know the official Derby mush.

He filed a lawsuit barring PG1985 from ever mentioning his name again.

So does that mean you're going to activate him as one of your 5? ;)

It's the only shot I know I have of winning it all.

I guess I could have a shot if something like a Z Fortune or Denis Of Cork hits and I use them - and catch something underneath - but, you've got to play to win. There is no doubt in my mind I win the whole thing nationally, regardless of what anyone else does, if I use Cowboy Cal and he somehow wins the race.

Yes, that makes total sense. So, in my stable, with that strategy, the horse that would do it for me would be Anak Nakal I think. Maybe Monba. But do I have the guts to activate them? I just dont know....gonna wait for the draw.
