If they open an OTB for those bets you'll be in business.

Reading this made me want to take a shower.

You live in Lexington, right? Why not do what I do when I'm there and bet at Keeneland in the morning then go home and take in the action on TV? Slim to none they actually come to a conclusion on this garbage.

That's cruel even by your standards... but a ten pie post nonetheless.

What's cruel is her continued Monday morning quarterbacking.

I'm just glad to see you expressing your silliness in the open as opposed to your usual cowardly tactic of slamming people in private messages.

Ususally, I am in Lexington, but my professor hubby is on sabbatical this year and we are in Cambridge, the one 15 miles from Newmarket, not the one near Boston. Yes, I can bet the Derby itself at my local bookie joint, but not the whole card. May just head for the 2000 Guineas and not worry about the Derby at all.

I have found another successful strategy on Derby Day to maintaining composure. Drive two hours to a Reservation that only serves 3.2 beer and play at their OTB.
If I could just remember not to stop at that liquor store this side of the state line for a little "something on the hip.":p

Have you gone punting yet down the river? Did it about 8 years ago. Very nice. What a place....oh yea, and the gardens there where Darwin grew up, were asounding. Last, Duxford Airforce base, a must see.

Have fun,

Scott

Hubby was an Air Force brat. Duxford was one of his first stops.
