Commentator is actually probably the best example right now of one that can throw in a real stinker and then come back later to run huge.

He has not run well in the top class races in a few years.

With Commentator, the question is did he go bad or did he just meet conditions that made him look bad then found conditions that made him look great? Each time he's come back later to run huge, it's been against far less than the top competition.

That's cause he only runs well when he's on the lead in 44 or more in a sprint or 46 or more in a route. When he does that he's undefeated. When he doesn't he is winless.

commentator is possibly the best horse in america right now... easily the fastest, i would love to see him vs curlin at 1 1/8

Why would Curlin want to race 1 1/8 when he's a 1 1/4 horse. Lets have the

ok... but if curlin chooses to run in multiple grade 1 races like the whitney he will have to go 1 1/8
