Cool Coal Man $20 win/place

$4 exacta box

Cool Coal Man & Court Vision

$4 tri

Cool Coal Man with Court Vision with Z Humor & Monba

$10 to win on Z Humor just incase Zayat knows what he is doing

$66 in bets, Good Luck and go Cool Coal Man!

tiggerv 02-24-2008 04:18 PM

Golden Spikes. Big win bet. Box with Cool Coal Man

IrishofNDMan 02-24-2008 04:24 PM

Knock Elsom Field out and I hit a nice $4 exacta and tri to go with me win place, damn it!

Coach Pants 02-24-2008 04:27 PM

I didn't post my specific bets in this thread but I had the exacta for $20, $2 tri and $100 win on Cool Coal Man.

I was getting my ass handed to me all week in cheap claimers. It's good to be right for a change.

IrishofNDMan 02-24-2008 04:30 PM

nice work pillow, didn't hit it as hard as you but it still feels good to be onto the winner.

Yeah but the race is already getting dissed for being slow.

I don't care how slow the race was, we cashed tickets! As you can see I posted my $4 tri and exacta plays, was thinking about using Elsioum fields and decided to keep it cheap and just use Cool Coal Man over Court Vision over Z Humor and Monba. Had that hit I would be ready to go to Vegas for Spring Break next week.

I'll try an Early Pick 4

1) 2,6 - Gone Grand should be long gone, but I'll take the 6 for insurance.
2) 1,3,4
3) 2,5,6
4) 9

$18 for $1

Not a bad payoff for a pretty chalky sequence.
$245

IrishofNDMan 02-24-2008 04:48 PM

Not a betting race, but will be fun to watch War Pass.

Congrats on the win/place wager.....do you keep records of your wagers to see if win versus win/place versus exotics gives you the better ROI??

Twin Spires keeps track of all the wagers and the ROI, but without even looking at that I've noticed that I personally am much better just sticking to win and win place bets, and the exotics are almost always a loss for me but I still try them. I often times kick myself for doing win/place instead of just using all the money on a win bet, but that is the scared part of me still.
