Not as painful as I thought it might be.

Its really good for the NBA that these three got together.

But I dont see it working when they face a team that attacks
the basket. Garnett is a wonderful teammate, but he gets pushed
around bigtime under the boards. Lucky they are in the east.

The Spurs would eat them for lunch in a playoff series.
The perfect type of opponent. No D. Everything revolving around
three players individual talents. If they can mold themselves
into an efficient offensive machine, I will have much more respect
for all 3 as players, and Rivers as a coach.

That being said I hope they make it to the finals in the East.
But I dont see it happening if Wade gets well and Shaq and
Mourning dont get injured somewhere along the way.

Pat...I enjoyed watching them last night. But to call them The Big 3 is a slap in the face to the original Big 3 for the Celtics

Garnett would have fit in with that group.
No doubt.

Bird, McHale, and Parrish. Those were the good old days.

Please... Buck Williams, Daryl Dawkins, Albert King, with a splash of Otis Birdsong and Michael Ray Richardson:D

Otis had a sweet jump shot. (You go that far back... excellent.)
Buck was a football player.

Albert's brother was one of the best.
Bernard was really special but all those injuries.

I go back far enough to have watched Bernard King as a rookie play for the Nets at the Rutgers Athletic Center. He had some substance/alcohol issues, so the Nets traded him to Utah for the infamous Rich Kelley (one of the worst centers in NBA history).

I still say Bernard King had the sweetest touch I ever saw.

Quickest release. Like many in the "big afro" era, he entered the league as a 6' 8" power forward, and retired a 6'6" small forward (same with Julius Erving).

I had a chance to see him late in his career. Was still smooth as silk.

He was a quality actor as well (what was the name of that movie he was in with Gabe Kaplan?).
