Biancone Hearing Set in Cobra Venom Inquiry

Following the announcement of the five-year suspension of veterinarian Dr. Rod Stewart for alleged violations of the Kentucky Horse Racing Authority's medication regulations, the organization has scheduled a stewards' hearing in the ongoing investigation of trainer Patrick Biancone, who was found to be in possession of cobra venom and two other prohibited substances.

Doesn't look good for Biancone. In the stewards' report, part of the penalties handed out to the vet were for not reporting the fact that Biancone had violated the rules. If that's the case (and I realize that Biancone is not estopped by this finding), then all we're really talking about now is the severity of the penalty that the KHRA hands down and how his owners react.
