I've read what he's been saying and it's mekin' me SICK!! He doesn't even know what he's talking about!

I should have resisted as I told Steve I didn't want to cause him trouble so I would not say anything here anymore...so now I'm a BIG LIAH.

But it's not easy.

Better off not conversing with the guy.

I think he must write in asking for articles of James clothing.

God...I can't stand it.

I was defending the coach, sir.

I forgot you liked the World B Free era better.

Perhaps they can dig up Jim Chones for you.

Cleveland has no point guard.
Lebron is dead meat just like Kobe without a point guard to spread the floor and control the flow of the game. Get them the ball where they like it.

Look at the 3 of the 4 teams.

Chauncey Billups
Deron Williams (who I think will be the best PG of these 3)
Tony Parker

Larry Hughes? No way, he is a two.
And the kid from Texas (Gibson) is in over his head offensively.
Crazy hair, I like him as a role player, I would take him. Big white Eastern European, I can use him. He can score but his defense is terrible. Definitely need some help.

Honestly, I'm not sure what I would call, I'm not a NBA coach. I guess a pick and roll or setting LeBron or someone else with a jumpshot off a screen. Who knows? They did get a good second shot and missed. It happens.

It was the same play but this time Lebron took it to the hole instead of passing. You cant call a pick and roll in that situation because #1, You are handing Detroit an easy double on Lebron; #2 Who are you going to run the play for? If Rasheed was a Cav, then it is a possibility. But the Cavs dont have a single frontline player that you want to see with the ball in that situation. Lebron strength is moving with the ball toward the hoop, using his strength and size to overpower defenders. He is not that strong coming off of picks. Plus Detroit would almost certainly switch on the pick and try to deny the ball to Lebron. Which would leave the ball in the very shaky hands of Hughes, Snow, or Pavolich. Which would have been a poor decision by Brown.
Hamilton actually played great d on the play, being physical enough to disrupt the flow without drawing the foul.

There was no excuse for Hughes missing the follow up.

Despite the pleas from Mr. Cleveland Sports, Mortavich, it is amazing that a team with that little offense is in the conference finals regardless of the overall weakness of the East.
They have a weak point guard, below average 2 guard, average post offense and nice touch from the Russian, Gooden is a garbage man, Varejo is an energy guy but has no real offensive game, Marshall is strictly a spot up 3 point shooter, Gibson may yet be ok but he lacks experience. Thats it.

It blows my mind how obvious this is but time and time again intelligent fans miss the point entirely.

There is no ball movement during offensive sets in the NBA......execution creates options. Watch the Celts/Lakers/Pistons of decades gone by .....they all moved the ball to create shots. The Suns and Spurs do it to some extent but nothing like Magic, Bird, etc etc.......

Standing there and taking the ball 1 on all is garbage.......Lebron is a very limited basketball player with physical skills that compensate for his flaws.
And yes, when Larry Hughes left town in DC the fans quickly got over it. Another millionaire who lost his hunger when they got the contract.

Oh never mind.

Go ahead and argue Hossy...Im afraid you're as lost as he is in this mess.

Honest a God.

And poor horseys get shot.

I know...as well as once again claiming James is the only reason they are where they are.....and at least one statement of yours has oddly disappeared.

By your measure the WBF teams would have won the title with James.

The Chones anchored team won a division...something that still eludes this one man team .

There are just a few more important things going on than the International Icon whose "business" interests excede these important matters.

Mortimer 05-25-2007 08:43 AM

I like all the Cleveland finger pointing.

They don't have a point guard...which is true....and JKidd is one of the best pg's around.

I can't imagine what I'm trying to say.

Coach Pants 05-25-2007 08:47 AM

Lebron James is highly overrated. The guy clearly isn't comfortable under pressure.

I can't recall Bird or Jordan passing up on game winners nor missing so many of them.

It took Jordan and Chicago four playoff series to crack the Pistons. What makes anyone believe Cleveland can do it quicker.

Detroit is far better than last year, esp defensively when they over-relied on man D and Ben Wallace to defend any break down.

Hopefully Cleveland will get at least one at home and make it a bit interesting.

Mortimer 05-25-2007 09:55 AM

I would like to point something out to some of the professional NBA coaches here.

First...I am not one of you.

I'm stupid...I admit that.

But...

....last year Detroit vaporized Cleveland in the first 2 games. Cleve. came back to win 3 in a row and take it to 7.I thought and still do think Det. will take the series, but also do not believe Cleve. has "no shot" even at this point.Cleve. has lost the first 2 this year by last second misses. They have played much better because they are playing a team game....whether you coaches want to recognize that or not.

These are probably the 2 best defensive teams in the East and both defs. are having a large play in the off. results.

James doesn't have support?

At least in individual points score both teams seem to be suporting their team mates equally.

It's not James winning or losing by himself.....they are just missing as a team.

And listening to"experts" is a losing battle. An "expert' said the last shot Wallace made with only a few seconds taken off the clock showed how confident they were in their def.

I just saw a very bad shot selection that somehow found its way into the little netty-poo.

I am unpissoffable.

Not many are.

BELIEVE ME.

You don't know the pm's I get.

I have not had one self induced tantrum displayed here.

And that's the truth.

My nose remains the same length.

Mortimer 05-25-2007 10:12 AM

I am most anxious to hear from Coach Peanut Auerbach.

Mortimer 05-25-2007 10:15 AM

But Coach Hossy Wilkens will do just fine.
